Love Across Time

Kyle Reese, was burying, Marcus', body repeating what he had said to him a few days before.

"We bury our dead, even though you are part machine. You still have the heart of a human." Leaning against his shovel, and letting out a sigh. I can't believe I'm actual a part of the resistance. Thinking to himself. Dropping the shovel to the ground, placing his hand in one of the pockets, he felt something. Pulling it out, it was a picture of a young women sitting in her car, with a look of despair.

"Who is that?" He whispered to himself. Not knowing it was, John Connors Mother. He couldn't stop staring in to her eyes, wondering why someone so beautiful could look so sad. "I'd give anything to know what she was thinking at the very moment." Talking to himself once again. The picture was very old and torn, it's very likely that it was taken long before the war. But when? He never knew what love was until that moment, it was love at first sight.

"Kyle, what are doing? Were about to pack up camp and move out of here." Connor said as he walked over to Kyle.

"OK, I just finishing up." Trying to hide the picture from him.

"Hey, what's that in your hand?" Connor looking with curiosity.

"Oh...um... Something you left in your jacket." Handing him the picture back. Watching him stare at with a blank gaze.

"Yeah, that's my mother, Sarah, it was taken just before I was born." Taking a deep breath and continuing on. "Why don't you hang on to it for awhile, Kyle?" Placing the picture back in to the pocket. Nodding with a half smile and walking away. I wasn't sure what to think of that; yet I was happy to be able to keep the picture. After all, I had fallen in love the moment I laid eyes on her. These feelings had never crossed my mind before; sad it had to be a women that was from another time.

"See ya, Marcus, We'll meet again, I promise." Walking away, still thinking about what, Connor, had said. Why did he want me to keep it?
