Mr. Simpson, Degrassi's school principal was enforcing new rules to the school. One of them was wearing the uniforms.
"Holly J!" Fiona Coyne cried, as she ran up to her.
"Hi, Fiona," Holly J smiled.
"Can you believe Simpson is making us wear these uniforms?" Fiona asked, rolling her eyes.
Holly J scoffed. "You wouldn't believe why," she explained. "Besides, didn't you have to wear one when you were in New York?"
"I don't even wanna talk about New York," Fiona replied.
"Hello girls," Declan Coyne greeted, as he stomped up the steps to see them.
Holly J turned and smiled. "Hello Declan."
"Oh great, you're getting along perfectly," Fiona smiled.
Holly J felt akward. She hasn't talked to Declan since they broke up weeks before.
"So, um," Declan said, looking down. He looked at Holly J. "Aren't you excited to see me?"
Holly J pressed her lips together. "Yeah. It's been a while."
They both looked around for a moment. Holly J broke the silence. "I have to do the announcements soon." She hugged Fiona by and walked in the doors to Degrassi.
"Declan?" Fiona asked.
"Hmm?" Declan asked, looking at her.
"Do everything to get her back. I'm still expectig you to get married to her."
Clare Edwards walked over to Eli Goldsworhty's locker. "Miss me?" she asked.
"Hm, Edwards," Eli smiled. "So much," he leaned in to kiss her.
"No public displays of affection!" a security guard snapped at Eli.
"Gosh," Clare rolled her eyes. "These new rules are strict."
"I second that," Eli said, looking up at the TV screen.
Holly J and Sav Bhandari were on it. Sav was holding a big book. The Degrassi Students Handbook.
They both stood side-by-side with no expression on their faces.
"The new dress code must be followed at all times," Sav said.
They went on and on about the new rules. Eveeryone groaned.
"Have a wonderful day," they said and the screen went black.
"No one's going to be the same," Clare muttered,
Eli laguhed. "Degrassi's not going to be the same," he corrected her.
"Eli! Clare!" Adam Torres said, as he pushed through a crowd of students.
"Adam!" Eli said and high fived him.
"How was your break?" Clare asked.
"Good. Yours?" Adam answered.
"Fine."
"That's good," Adam said, nodding his head.
"Is it just me or is there some sort of akwardness between us?" Eli asked, breaking the silence.
"Possibly," Adam replied.
"Why?" Clare asked.
"Well it's not that easy," Adam explaines. Clare raised an eyebrow at him. "To explain."
"So, what's going on?" Eli asked, looking around.
"Uh well," Adam said. he didn't want to tell them. but he figured he would. "I'm-
the bell rang.
"You can tell us later," Clare said and walked off to class
