Notes: This story deviates from canon, since not much is known about Clow and Yuuko's past. Also, Yuuko's supposed to be 12 here.
Summary: At first she thought it was just a coincidence. But oh, how she was wrong.

A man came to her house one day. He asked for her parents. She told him that they would be back from their errands soon. Then she welcomed him in, noting how much he looked like a foreigner, dressed in a formal suit even though it was summer.
She watched him, this stranger, sitting on the other side of the table as she poured some tea. There's something about him, she thought, something different, mysterious. It drew her to him like a moth to a flame.
They ended up chatting over pleasantries and such until it was almost night time. He said he had to leave soon. They drank one last serving of tea before she walked him to the door.
She apologized for her parents not being to come in time. He asked for her name. She felt embarrassed for a moment, just realizing that she had been talking with a stranger for hours without even introducing herself. Then she answered him, foolishly giving him her real name. He merely looked at her with a smile on his face. Then he left.
Little did she know that this would lead to something much bigger than she could have ever imagined.
She didn't believe in hitsuzen back then.

A/N: I understand that Yuuko's a bit too trusting here. But since she's still young, I figured her parents could have just raised her that way. Also, I just realized that she didn't ask for Clow's name, nor did he introduce himself, so just imagine that her parents told her something about him before leaving.
