Just a poem about Dallas Winston. Strangely, inspired by the fact that he has blonde hair and icy blue eyes in the novel and brown hair and eyes in the movie.

Blue-Eyed boy

A blue-eyed baby stared out the window

Eyes full of wonder and curiosity

His little heart full of love and sorrow

He already knew of the world's cruelty

A blue-eyed child was walking in the night

His clothes ripped and his light blonde hair dirty

Black and blue but still wishing with all his might

To come back home to a good family

A blue-eyed boy sat alone behind bars

His hair and eyes were starting to darken

He mindlessly rubbed one of his many scars

Life was a mean game at which he won't be beaten

A dark-eyed teen stared ahead angrily

Giving back the hits twice as hard

His mind like ice and his brown hair bloody

His heart now always on guard

A brown-eyed teen with a record a mile long

Living alone, drinking and fighting

He thought nothing could touch him but he was wrong

A person can't be hardened beyond caring

A 17 year-old teen closed his eyes for the last time

The bullet wounds and the blood still fresh on his skin

His last action was no random crime

Dallas Winston let life win.
