Edward's POV
He was planning to confess, that stupid mutt was going to confess how much he loved my Bella. I was nervous and dying to go over there and get her back in my safe arms. But I trusted Bella. But if that dog did anything else-
My phone ran and I answered immediately.
"Bella?" I said, relief flooding threw me and I joyously ran over to my Volvo so I could be by her side the soonest possible. But first I needed to find out were my beloved was. "You left the phone… I'm sorry, did Jacob drive you home?"
"Yes," She said, sounding somewhat angry. "Will you come and get me, please?"
This made me worry again. "I'm on my way," I answered. "What's wrong?"
"I want Carlisle to look at my hand. I think it's broken."
I froze, trying to keep my anger in. "What happened?"
"I punched Jacob," She answered. That surprised me but made me feel proud.
"Good," Edward I said with a smile. "Though I'm sorry you're hurt."
"I wish I'd hurt him," She laughed. "I didn't do any damage at all."
"I can fix that," I offered. He had done something to make her hit him, I couldn't help but smile a little at that again, and I was going to make him pay even more for whatever he must have said. Of course Bella would never let me-
"I was hoping you would say that."
I paused. What on earth did that mutt do? "That doesn't sound like you," I said cautiously. "What did he do?"
"He kissed me." Bella answered.
I speed up and hanged up. He had touched MY Bella, he was going to pay, he was going to die. Jacob Black needed to die for sure now.
He's Bella's friend, she wouldn't want you to hurt him. A voice in the back of my head said.
"I don't care he needs to pay for this!" I answered it out loud. But I knew I couldn't barge in and kill the pathetic dog. Whether I liked it or not, Bella did like that dog... liked... nothing more, just a friend, that's why she had pushed him away... that's right, she was furious just as much as he was, and that would probably hurt Jacob more than anything.
He let that fact calm him down. He wasn't going to do anything. He would take care of his Bella and let Jacob suffer… that is until Bella would no doubt forgive him.
I knew this wouldn't be the last I saw of that dog.
A warning would be important then. If he does anything even remotely close to this again, I would definitely rip those arms off and ensure he was no longer capable of hurting my Bella anymore.
