Already Over

Ciel shook in his bed, tired and yet restlessly sleepless. His head tossed in a vain attempt at clearing itself and finding a comfortable position to sit in. A soft, barely audible sigh slipped past his crème lips as he gave up and decided to stare at the ceiling motionless until exhaustion finally overwhelmed his racing mind. He knew that his daemon was either preparing for the next day's requirements or sitting in the library and reading some book he wasn't even really enjoying. He never left unless told to do so. If only Ciel could dismiss him, the beautiful, porcelain skinned butler. But he couldn't possibly worm his was out of the binding contract. The young Earl felt as though he was just disappearing from the world. And he was, his soul would be collected when his revenge was completed.

Yet, the child didn't want to be rid of the glorious servant. He wanted to keep him, and for him to return his love.

So he would let the daemon inhabit his home and life and mind until the day he lost his soul to Sebastian. He would, now as he thought, gladly give his soul, his essence, to the daemon in payment for the time spent with him, having him loyally at his side and obeying every order. He had already lost his parents, his old life, everything. And it was small price to pay with nothing left for him. It was already over, already decided. He would die, Sebastian would feed.

The best he could possibly do would be to run away, and he wished not to do so when he could spend his last moments with the irresistible, beautiful man. His insides were ever so slowly breaking as he thought of how brutally excruciating it would be with a ruthless daemon commanded to make it painful. His cruel, mocking, wonderful smile that last thing he would ever see.

He was startled to find his hand held upwards, reaching for his servant, where he had no recollection of putting it. Letting the muscles lax, his arms fell to his side again with an audible thump as it hit the mattress. Pale covers slid over miss matched eyes as tears flowed steadily from the corners of the odd orbs. He would give anything to his daemon, anything he wanted. But all he seemed to want was his master's soul, and that was already decided to be taken.

It was already over. Everything was done with, everything settled. As he slipped into a light, dreamless sleep Ciel silently pondered why it had not yet finished although it was already over, his eye as his answer.
