Phoenix Catcher (PLEASE READ): This story, although posted for the time being on my own site, is in fact written by a friend of mine, please however review as normal until a personal account is set up for her. I've seen the plot for this story and it is definitely well worth reading! Thanks!

Disclaimer; I do not own anything in this story that you recognise as J.K. Rowlings, the author of the Harry Potter series. Other than that, the ideas are my own, and I apologise to anyone who believes that the ideas are similar to their own.

It was raining so hard that day, strange for the middle of the summer.

"Ironic really, it always rains when something awful is stirring."

A statement spoken into the air, no answer was spoken. A drab and miserable air surrounded the speaker, sitting hidden alone on a lower branch of a elm tree, with nothing but darkness to watch, her only distraction to the horror she awaits was the constant thunder of raindrops on the branches far above her head. To the untrained ear the rain was nothing more then a continuously deafening roar, but to the lone tree dweller they were much more then that, each drop sounded with its own unique sound, like music the rain rang out around her as she sat awaiting for the nights events to begin.

But the joyous sound could not be enjoyed by this young woman as anticipation was the only emotion in her heart as she waited for the attack on the broken and unstable home, sitting on top of the hill across the yard from the watcher.

As the rain poured heavier on the surrounding trees a slight yet distinct pop was heard from the direction of the house. Silently dropping to the ground below the watcher ventured towards the house, as she crept forward hugging the shadows of the fence. As the figure approached the house more pops were heard, but unlike most attacks these pops did not come from positions circling the property but were coming from above.

"The roof! Great, well at least if the family wake up they won't see anything. Now how to get onto the roof?"

After one lap around the house she found the answer, a old drain pipe, hoping that the pipe reached all the way to the roof, the climb began. After scaling the many floors, rolling onto the gutter of the roof the young girl counted eight death eaters before her. As she assessed the situation it became obvious that the death eaters were trying to work out how to go about the attack,

"Well, first we need to get off the roof and down into the house." came the gruff voice of the leader.

"I can help you with that!" came the unknown reply. Shocked and surprised the group swung round.

"How dare you sneak up on us like that, do you not know how dangerous that is?" was the reply as shock melted away to anger.

"For you? Very!" looking up the young girl meets the eye of the group leader.

"It c…can't b..be, your b…b…." stuttered out the leader, mumbling incoherently he backed away behind a smaller death eater.

Watching disgusted as the scene unfolded before them, one asked the question all the others were thinking of…

"Who are you?"

A/N: This is only the first chapter and hence is shorter then I aim to make the upcoming chapters. Thanks for reading and please review to tell me what you think!
