This is a one-shot set at Christmas 2010 that is a prequel to "Blair's Favorite Christmas Gift", which I was inspired to write this after Chuck and Blair's final scene in 4x07 "War at the Roses". I hope you all enjoy it, and reviews would be most appreciated. I do not own the rights to the characters Chuck and Blair, the CW, Stephanie, and Josh do.
Blair was certainly nervous as she made her way up to Chuck's penthouse at the Empire
Hotel, and she had every right to be feeling this way. Blair had recently discovered that her and
Chuck's sexual tryst on the piano after her birthday party had led to an unplanned pregnancy.
Chuck heard the elevator door open up. "Didn't expect to see you here tonight Waldorf, I told
you that I can't be your friend right now, it's just too painful". Blair replied "I came because I
have some news to deliver to you in the form of a Christmas gift. I hope you like it, because it is
going to be difficult to return". Chuck sighed as he opened up the package and his eyes opened
wide when he realized what it was. Chuck looked at the positive pregnancy test and then he
looked up to Blair and said "Blair, I thought we were safe, I had Arthur buy all those condoms
during the immersion therapy of massive amounts of hate sex". Blair rolled her eyes and replied
"Well, the night of my party you didn't exactly stop and put on a condom as you took me on my
grand piano. The question is do you want this, because if you don't I would want to know now
so I can prepare to raise this baby alone". Chuck replied "You mean our baby Waldorf. You're
the only one that I would ever want this with". And with that Chuck placed a hand on
Blair's stomach and placed a kiss on her lips. Blair smiled and said "Last year at Christmastime I
told you that I would always be your family and next Christmas we'll have our own little family,
with a 4 month old baby". This made Chuck smile as he thought to himself that this baby was
the greatest Christmas gift that he could ever receive, as this baby would really make him and
Blair family. Chuck then opened a draw and pulled out the Harry Winston engagement ring that
he had saved since Blair returned it to him at the train station in Paris. Chuck knelt down to Blair
and said "I have additional way that we can become family Waldorf. Will you marry me? Even if
you say no, you still stuck with me for the next 18 years of our child's life". Blair cried tears of
joy and said "Yes!" An engagement and a baby with Blair were definitely the greatest Christmas
gifts that Chuck would ever receive.
