Best things in life are for free. Everybody knew that. Percy knew that too. He sat at his sofa, half-heartedly watching TV. He looked around and saw his favourite blue waffles waiting for him to be eaten. He took a paper and wrote:

The Best Things(or Persons) in my life:

1. His blue waffles (His favourite food, actually),

2. His iPod (Annabeth gave it to him as his birthday present when he turned 18),

3. His teddy bear (he had it since he was a kid, though he hides it from Annabeth since she teases him about it),

4. Camp Half Blood shirt,

5. His Riptide,

6. His house (Annabeth designed it),

7. His awesome powers (like controlling and breathing on water),

8. His demigod friends,

9. Rachel (she was a cool Oracle. No pun intended),

10. Grover (He was his first best friend),

11. Tyson (He was his first known brother),

12. His mom (he wouldn't live in this world without her),

13. Paul Blofis (Percy thought he should put him on list because he was the one who made him pass in high school),

14. The ring he shares with Annabeth (He was proclaiming it as his 'Happiest Day Ever') ,

15. The most beautiful, awesome-est?, coolest, and smartest, Annabeth Chase.

The door opened before he wrote the last. "I'm home!" a beautiful voice passed through Percy's ears.

"How was your day?" Percy asked.

"A lot of work. Busier than ever. Tired. Bad day." Annabeth stated. "How 'bout you?" Annabeth asked back.

"Oh, the usual." Percy sighed.

Annabeth noticed the paper that Percy was writing on, "What's that?"

Percy realized that the paper was actually visible to Annabeth and hid with his fist, "Nothing, really."

"Really, what's that?" Annabeth asked seriously.

Percy sighed, "Fine. Here." Percy gave the paper to Annabeth, and Annabeth sat beside him.

Annabeth started reading Percy's list of his 'Best Things' and Percy looked at Annabeth nervously. On each number, Annabeth's smile kept on growing. "Awesome-est?" Really, Percy?"

"Well, you are awesome." Percy said.

"Thanks." Annabeth smiled.

"Of course." Percy smiled too.

"You just made this day, my best day ever." Annabeth said.

"Well, it's because I know that I am one of your best things in life." Percy smirked.

Percy kissed Annabeth and they both shared one of their best kiss ever.
