OMG I HAVEN'T UPDATED IN SOOOOOO LONG. SOOOO SORRY BUT HERE YOU GO. New story.
-Bella's POV-
I walked into the Starcade after a rough game. We barely lost after Troy dropped a game-winning catch. I walked over to an empty booth and slid in, disappointed. I buried my head in my arms, letting some tears slide down. All of a sudden, I heard a voice.
"You ok, Mama?" Sophie's soft voice said. I looked up and saw her beautiful face. She couldn't have come at a better time.
"Yeah... I guess," I replied.
"Hey, it's not your fault. That son of a b***h Troy can't see two feet in front of his own face." Sophie said, trying to comfort me.
"Whatever," I said.
"Hey, want a smoothie? I'll get your favorite!"
"Sure." I felt bad for cold-shouldering her but I really wanted to be alone. I sat there, waiting for my smoothie when I saw Newt walk in as well. He "non-suspiciously" walked over to my booth and sat down.
"Bella. Don't say a word, but I'm gonna go scare Sophie," He said.
"Ok, whatever." I watched him get back up and followed him with my eyes until he found her. I watched him sneak up on her. And right as she grabbed the smoothies, he put his hands on her back and whispered something in her ear. She screamed and dumped both the smoothies on his head. He stood there, dripping wet, and laughing.
-Sophie's POV-
I hate to see Bella like that. She looked so... down on herself and the world. I offered to get her a smoothie and headed over to the counter and ordered them.
"Two raspberry smoothie's please," I said, and pulled out my phone. Out of the corner of my eye I saw Newt walk in and head over to Bella. A feeling slightly like jealousy fought it's way into my body. I shrugged it off and looked back down at my phone. I saw Pepper send me a text of a selfie with her and Sawyer. I'm really glad they got back together, finally. Their constant fighting was really starting to irritate us.
"Alright, here ya go," I heard the waiter say, and turned around to grab the smoothies. I suddenly felt hot breath on my neck and a voice saying, "Hey baby". Of course I screamed and spilled all of the smoothie. I looked to see who would dare scare me like that and saw it was Newt. Oh, man. He was gonna get it.
I grabbed him by the ear and pulled him outside. "Ow ow ow ow ow," he was whining. I let go of him and leaned in. I could tell he was uncomfortable as we were mere inches away from each other.
"Don't you dare ever do that again," I whispered right back in his ear. He squirmed and I grabbed his shirt. I shoved him down and headed back into the Starcade.
-Newt's POV-
Umm... Ok...? I was not expecting that. She barely touched me, which is very un-Sophie like. I was expecting her to beat me up, but hey! I'm glad she didn't!
I walked away from the Starcade and back to the house, where Brenda was lounging in the family room.
"Hey Newtie-Patootie!" She said over-excitedly, as usual.
"Yo Brenda-dog," I replied sarcastically. She never noticed. She still thought we were "best of family" and a "wonderful match". I still found her repulsive.
I headed upstairs to my room and opened the door. My room was SPARKLING clean, as always, completely neat. I went to my closet and dug out my hidden diary and pencil. I began writing in it.
When I was finished recounting my day, I went to put it back, but a loose piece of paper fell out. I wondered what it was and picked it up.
On it was something I hadn't seen in a very long time.
