AN: This idea randomly popped into my head when I got inspired by some other writers on the site. I am not stealing anyone's ideas, they are my own.

The first time he had seen her was 6 years ago, she was a tiny thing with bright green eyes and hair that had blended in with the wheat that grew outside of her family's cottage. They lived on the outskirts of the village, he had seen an older woman living there as well, but from what he could tell she had fallen ill and passed. He didn't see the girl for another year most likely due to the harsh weather.

The second time he saw her was when the sun shone for the first time in months. Her cheeks were stained red and was bundled in at least five blankets which she kept wrapped around her shoulders like the coverings he had seen knights wearing.

He could feel eyes on him, burning a hole through his head. As he turned to confront who had been spying on him, his eyes went wide as his brother was glaring at him.

"Just what exactly do you think you're doing right now?" he asked.

Soul opened his mouth to confront his brother, however, this resulted in his mouth gaping like that of a fish.

"Humans do not accept our kind Soul, as far as they are concerned we steal their children for our dinner and terrorise their villages"

"I know, Wes, but I'm sick and tired of hiding like this. It just doesn't feel right."
