"Arthur Weasley, please report to the Ministry front desk," A voice on the loudspeaker said.
Arthur Weasley looked up from his work. He wondered why they wanted to talk to him. He wasn't slacking off or anything. After the time he was caught playing Muggle Nintendo, he made sure never to do that again.
He got up from his uncomfortable chair and started the walk down to the first floor. The long walks were always annoying to him, sitting in chairs studying Muggle objects were more appealing. No field jobs were in his near future.
He walked up to the front desk and the receptionist looked at him.
"Mr.Weasley we have a new project that you might be interested in," She said.
"What kind of project?" He asked.
The receptionist bent over the file cabinet and picked up a file. " The Ministry is doing a little experiment to see how wizards and witches react to using Muggle objects. We thought you and your family would like to give it a try."
"Sure, we'd like to participate," Mr.Weasley said excitedly.
"Ok the project lasts nine days, one for each member of your family," The receptionist said. "Here's the order; You, your wife, Bill, Charlie, Percy, George, Ron, Ginny and we added Harry too."
"When does it start?" Mr.Weasley asked, not bothering to hide his enthusiasm.
"Tomorrow. The objects will be delivered to your house."
"Ok then," Mr.Weasley said, going back to his desk.
That night Mr.Weasley came home to see his family hovered around Percy and George.
"What's going on?" Mr.Weasley asked.
Ginny pointed at the chess board in between them. "They're playing wizard chess."
"Shh!" Percy said, examining his pieces. "Knight to square seven."
The piece moved over and smashed George's king.
"Man he beat me again!" George whined.
"Good job Percy," Mrs.Weasley said. She turned to the family. "Dinner's almost ready."
"Great, I'm starving!" Ron said.
Mr.Weasley couldn't wait to break the news to his family. He was after all, obsessed with all things Muggle.
Looking around the table, he saw that his family would probably have a tough time with the project. George was using his wand to bring the pepper to him.
"Everyone guess what happened at work today," Mr.Weasley said.
"Let me guess, you learned what a rubber duck is for," Percy said.
"Nope, even better," He said excitedly."The family is going to take part in a project that lets them use Muggle objects."
"I dunno dad, we don't know much about them," Bill said.
"I'll help you," Harry said."I know a lot about them."
Percy turned to Bill."Is Fleur going to participate?"
"No, she's in France for the month, visiting her parents," Bill answered.
"How about you Hermione?"
"I don't need to," She answered. "I know everything about Muggle objects."
"Well everybody, we'd better get to bed, we've got a big day tomorrow," Mr.Weasley said.
Everyone was happy to do so.
