"The only ones who should kill are the ones prepared to be killed" Lelouch thought to himself as Zero charged at him sword drawn, his expression softening into a smile "Suzaku you're going to be a Hero now, the messiah who saved the world from Emperor Lelouch Vi Britannia… As Zero."

As he finished his thoughts, Suzaku's blade pierced his flesh and emerged on the other side, for a moment the crowds were shocked, for the Demon Emperor had been put down once and for all.

He told Suzaku of his punishment, of how he'd spend the rest of his days as a Knight for Justice, as Zero, and then his closest friend removed the blade in Lelouch's chest and the Demon Emperor fell.

But as he fell something strange came over him, memories forced to the forefront of his mind, first his childhood, his exile, the invasion, the events of his life flew before his eyes, as if something else compelled his entire life to play before his eyes, and as the final memories played though his mind he felt… approval?

And that is when he felt it, Pain. He expected dying to hurt, but not this much. Agony enveloped his body and all of Lelouch's senses screamed at him that he was on fire. That his body was being consumed in molten flames, licking away at every conscious thought until all that Lelouch was capable of doing. Scream.

"Live," Suzaku leapt back instinctively as the Geass order flared up. His eyes widening at the cause. Lelouch, beyond all logic, had spontaneously combusted with purple flames. He flinched at the horrific scream that followed.

What is this?! This isn't the plan!

Lelouch fell down, his flaming body reaching Nunnally who was stretching towards her shrieking brother struggling in vain to try to help him while screaming his name

"LELOUCH!"

He had to make sure that whatever was happening to Lelouch didn't happen to her too! Suzaku lept down and pulled the soon to be Empress away from her dying brother just as she was able to touch Lelouch only causing her to only sob.

All the while the rest of the world was silent, as they heard the Demon Emperor's screams, and Nunnally's sobs, and watched as the Tyrant, burned to ash. A single thought echoing through not only in Suzaku's mind, but the whole world's…

"What happened?"

Author's Notes: Now this is my first fanfiction and well first time writing something like this in general so there will be mistakes unfortunately I also apologize for the extremely short chapter. I plan to do longer ones in the future but I had to get the idea out there so I could start working on it if that makes sense, anyway thank you for reading this and I look forward to everyone's thoughts.
