His hand felt incredibly warm in her own freezing ones, her heart mourned the small loss of her boyfriend but her heart also celebrated the journey with her doctor. Could she call him that? Her Doctor? She watched as he slowly led her outside to his lovely ship, his home his everything, she watched as his eyes lit up as the impossibly blue ship came into sight.

She was always in awe at this box. The same box that crash-landed into her heart fourteen years ago. She smiled before reluctantly letting go of his hand and bursting inside of the doors and touching the levers and buttons. He stood in the doorway watching as she did her daily ritual this time with out the nose (Rory) questioning her every move. She deserved to be free, of the figurative leash and explore the world…no the universe.

And he had grown to care for the girl, almost as much as he did for Rose. His TARDIS agreed with him, and quickly flashed images of him and Amy enjoying each other's company; His heart almost broke when she asked to be taken home. After the ordeal with the angels he felt that she was done with him.

Sure he would let her go but could he really handle his heart breaking again? He was surprised when told him to wait outside of the nose's (Rory) apartment. When she emerged with unshed tears in her eyes he was confused and slightly angry, she immediately went into his arms.

"Amelia what just happened?"

She fisted her hands on the lapels of his tweed coat; take in his smell of watch she could only categorize as him.

"I broke it off with Rory, we were supposed to get married in the morning but…my heart was never in it."

He held her and wondered if it was his fault that her marriage failed before it even began. But part of him was glad; he really didn't want to explain to anyone the dynamic of his or her relationship especially to her soon to be husband. When she let go he grabbed her hand and led her back to their home. Where she belonged.

She smiled at the Doctor pausing in her pretending to pilot the lovely ship the Doctor slowly ascended the stairs.

"Are you sure you'll be fine Pond?"

She smirked with her hands flung in the air. "What? Of course I'll be fine I'm the queen of fine."

He also smirked at their inside joke, pulling her into his arms before flailing and sliding wildly across the glass floor.

"So Pond, after dealing with the terrible angels I've been thinking how? How did they get there, how did one full charged angel get on bored that ship and best of all the crack."

He paused before continuing his rant.

"The same crack from your bedroom, there in the belly of a spaceship in the future. It's not a coincidence and it's not good either and I'm will to bet that it is all over the universe. Even though I'm not much of a gambler, had a streak of luck in Vegas during the 1960s met some interesting ladies then…"

"Doctor!"

"Sorry."

The TARDIS shook and rumbled, he pulled her to the console before smiling and pointing to a specific set of buttons.

"Type in any time, and we'll go. But I get to pick the place."

She typed in a random time period and off they went into space and time, her hands clutching his shoulders as the TARDIS shook them back and fourth. Laughter bubbling from their throats, unaware that there was something big coming their way.
