A writing challenge based around the quote:
"I never loved you."
Warnings: Very small DH spoiler.
Disclaimer: The moment I own Harry Potter the Dursleys grovel at Harry's feet declaring their love for all things magical and strange.
"I never loved you, not at all and I probably never will." I'm sure if It wasn't for Petunia I would have dumped you in an orphanage the first chance I got. Or better yet I would have killed you myself. That's the truth, nothing more nothing less. In fact I hated you; you and your freaky magic had almost gotten Dudley's soul- of all things my boy's soul- sucked out by those Dementor things. You blew up my sister with your magic. Because of your magic I had to leave my home; the place where I wed my wife and raised my son.
During that year we were hiding from that Lord Voldemort I learned of all the things you had done and gone through at that weirdo school of yours. From being possessed to almost killed by a maniac, and I couldn't deny you were brave when I heard those stories, more so than Dudley or I could have ever been (not that I would ever say it out loud).
So yes boy I never loved you and I probably never will but I can't help but respect you.
