Author's note: First time doing a fanfic on It Lives in the Woods, and it takes place between chapter 15 and 16, wherein my verse, the main character sacrifice herself to become a new Redfield. Prepare some tissues, because this is major angst in this drabble.

Summary: After that near-death experience with the shadow monster, Andy couldn't bear the fact that he lost one of the most important people in his life. And now he's struggling to cope with her death.

Andy couldn't remember the last time he felt so lost and numb. Sure, he had been through dark times with that traumatic childhood experiences with the shadow monster in the woods and having to deal with all the bullying and coming out as trans. But to him, those were nothing compared to the pain he was suffering right now.

About a month had passed by since they faced the death game given by Mr. Red (who happened to be Jane the whole time) and everyone survived. Everyone except her. The person he loved and cared about for a really long time.

He didn't want to believe it, at first. But by the time Noah explained what happened to her back at the abandoned house, Andy was in rage…and heartbroken. He immediately broke down and punched the traitor in the face, blaming him for putting everyone into this mess and for her selfless sacrifice. He could've done a lot worse to Noah if it weren't for his injured leg preventing him from standing up to the point where Lucas has to stop him and helped him leaned against the wall for support.

Sometime later, Noah left the gang, and Stacy's mom and the paramedics arrived. Hours later, they managed to dig through the house and recovered her body. No one, not even Andy, could bear to look at her lifeless form and some of them failed to hold back their tears from the loss of their dear friend. Her funeral took place a few days later, though the basketball enthusiast couldn't attend that day since he had to stay at the hospital for his leg injury. He didn't want to anyway. The thought of seeing her in the casket and being buried six feet under haunted him. But he made a promise to himself that by the time he's out of the hospital, he'll visit her grave so he can properly pay his respect to her. Still, Andy wished that everything that had happened were only nightmares. But unfortunately for him, it wasn't.

The dark hair quickly took out his phone and look through his profile where he kept a picture of her along with himself during the homecoming. The moment that could've been the happiest day of their lives. Out of all the people who had to die, why did it have to be her? She didn't deserve this. Honestly speaking, she was the second most wonderful thing who had ever appeared in his life. (The first is actually his best friend, Tom). They have gone their separate ways after Jane died, but the moment they met each other again in high school, it was as if his world has been brightened up again. They catch up with each other, shared everything that's been going on, and even joke and flirt with each other, much to their friends' annoyance. Andy loved being around her. There weren't any labels between them, but he secretly wished that they could have been something more.

But it never happened. She was taken away from him once again. Gone too soon. And there was nothing he could do about it. Tears fell from his dark eyes and onto his phone screen, right onto the most wonderful person next to him.

"I wished you didn't have to leave like this. I miss you so much, Vivian. How am I supposed to move on without you?"
