I have news! I am working on a sequel to Taken! It's coming along slowly but surely. I'm going to write the whole story before posting chapters up. That way, I can post them regularly.

I'm warning you now: Kitten might be a little OOC. But I like to think that Red-X is as awesome as ever in this short one-shot.

I got the idea reading someone else's fic (can't remember which one, though) where there was a cameo of Red-X being creeped out by Kitten's advances. And then I looked for fics with them together. There's absolutely nothing in that area! I simply couldn't stand for it, so I decided to create the first one!

Disclaimer: Not by the hairs of my chinny chin chin!

The night was slowly arriving with the moon creeping up the sky as Kitten walked past the various closing stores on either side of the street with ten shopping bags on each arm. She chattered to the two friends on either side of her, bragging about her latest purchases, which included the very expensive diamond necklace around her neck. They listened begrudgingly and pretended to be in awe, when they actually wanted to abandon her. It's not like they really had choice, though. Killer Moth's threats were good motivation to feign friendship with the bratty teenager.

So when someone landed beside them, the two girls screamed, thinking it was the super villain, unsatisfied and coming to punish them for their awful effort at being friends with his daughter. However, when the black figure walked forward into the moonlight, they recognized him as Red-X.

They weren't sure which was worse.

Each step he took toward them, the girls took a step back until their backs met a brick wall. But Kitten stayed where she was, standing her ground fearlessly.

"Kitten, what are you doing?" one of them whispered harshly.

Red-X cocked his head to the side as he halted in front of the spoiled teen. "So you're the infamous Kitten. I have to say, you're much prettier than I imagined."

"I'm afraid I don't have the," Kitten skeptically looked the boy up and down before finishing, "pleasure of knowing who you are."

"The name's Red-X. But you can call me whatever you want, beautiful," his gravelly voice spoke before he reached his hand out. "Right after you give me that pretty necklace of yours, of course."

She smirked as she asked, "And if I don't?"

The two girls behind Kitten screamed when large X's plastered them to the brick wall, but those cries were cut short when he sent two smaller duplicates to cover their mouths.

Red-X redirected his attention to Kitten and her necklace, leaning in slightly as he menacingly whispered, "And that was just a sneak preview."

She slowly reached up to the piece of jewelry, violently tugged it off her neck, and dispensed it into his outstretched hand. "You really shouldn't mess with the daughter of Killer Moth. He wouldn't hesitate to crush a sorry excuse for a super villain like you."

Red-X took a step back, necklace in hand. "I'm no villain. Just fending for myself in this world." He gestured to the string of diamonds as he continued, "And I thank you for your contribution. Until we meet again, Kitten."

And with that, he teleported to who-knows-where, the only evidence of his presence being the two girls stuck to the wall with his X's and a somewhat dumbstruck Kitten.

When she eventually snapped out of it, she turned around to face her currently trapped "friends".

"He so wants me."

I know. It's short. But it was a lot of fun to write and I can't imagine lengthening it without making it boring.

The inspiration for that last line comes from the Call Me Maybe Parody by hoiitsroi on Youtube. It's pretty funny, if you wanna check it out.

Tell me how you like it! It'll help me get the sequel to Taken out faster!
