I decided that I also wanted to create a crossover between two of my favorite characters in Bleach to go to the world of Pokemon! Sorry that it's going to be such a short chapter, but that's only because this is the introduction. Next ones are going to be much longer, I assure you! So without further ado, I present to you, chapter one of 'Altered Transformation'!
Disclaimer: Bleach is amazing- that's why I'm not the one who owns it. Pokemon is also awesome- that is also why I don't own it. XD
Chapter 1
A bright, white light.
He couldn't open his eyes. He couldn't open his mouth. He couldn't even move his own body.
Did he...did he die?
No. He couldn't have. Even now, he felt a bit drained, his hands slightly stiff from what he could only imagine had been from holding his Zanpakuto tightly. But why had he been holding onto Hyorinmaru in the first place? What had happened for him to come here in the first place?
His mind felt a bit muddled, but as he continued to try, he could feel his consciousness slowly become clearer and clearer, the memories starting to flow in.
He had been fighting hollows. No. A hollow. It was found in the far off-regions of the Rukongai district where an abnormally large increase of hollows had appeared. He had been sent out, along with a handful of his own squad to investigate and purify the intruders. They had separated once they reached the site, but he did not need to worry as much since most of the hollows were relatively low-class.
His lieutenant had been with him when it had happened. After purifying a few, he had engaged in a fight with hollow that seemed to be the most powerful of the bunch while Matsumoto Rangiku had been fighting several hollows at once nearby. At first, there had been no indication that the hollow had any notable abilities. However, that disappeared the moment he dealt a supposedly fatal blow, and instead of dispersing into particles, its form merely seemed to fade into black writhing shadows.
He had been caught off guard, eyes wide, when he had been engaged once again. His quick reflexes allowed him to block the claw that head threatened to crush his skull in from behind using his Zanpakuto's long length. When he had separated the contact and jumped away, turning to face his assailant, it came as a complete surprise that the snarling face he had been greeted with looked exactly like the once he had previously defeated. He had looked to the side after that revelation, but still saw that the shadows had yet to move.
It had soon become a cycle after that.
He would fight the similar-looking hollow, kill it - only for it to deform into the same shadows as before, but then he would be immediately attacked by another hollow of the same appearance...
It had not escaped his notice that the growing population of murky shadows had been slowly forming a loose circle around the area he was fighting in. After the fifth hollow had deformed into shadows, he had jumped out of the circle and into the air, only for the shadows to suddenly come to life and dart towards him eagerly. He had released his Zanpakuto then, and sent a dragon of ice at the dark tendrils, but the moment his reiatsu-filled attack came into contact, it had simply...disappeared. It had went straight into the shadows but had not come out of the other end.
He had barely recovered from his surprise when the shadows almost grabbed him. A quick shunpo had him on the ground closer to his lieutenant - who, by then, was trying to help him out with Haineko, but the grey ash only had disappeared in the same manner as his attack the moment they touched the shadows.
And then came the moment it happened.
The instant his feet touched the ground, all the shadows, even the ones that were just natural shadows cast by anything under the moonlight, had attacked. It had been too fast for him to properly react before the darkness swarmed and enclosed him from all directions. He didn't even get to see Matsumoto's horrified face when she had called out to him.
He didn't think anymore after that. The next thing he knew, he found himself floating and unable to move anything, the redness behind his eye-lids the only indication that wherever he was, it was either very bright or something bright was shining upon him.
Before he could begin to contemplate his situation, he suddenly felt himself being pressed gently on all sides, his body strangely not resisting to it. He didn't know how, but he just knew that the form of his body was being changed. It was...a different, yet not uncomfortable feeling. He didn't feel any pain, which somehow calmed his terror and panic at the unknown force he couldn't see.
Not to mention that he felt...warm.
Now usually he would prefer the cold over heat, but this heat felt comforting. It surrounded him and soothed him, quelling his urges to struggle. It was odd...but he sort of liked it...
Seconds passed into minutes...until finally, the soft pressure ceased to remain. The whole time, he was quiet. Not only on the outside, but the inside. Even Hyorinmaru was quiet, but since he could still feel the dragon's calming presence, he did not protest.
Words could not express the tranquility he felt at the moment. But he knew it could never last.
He saw more than felt the intensity of the light increase before he knew no more.

He woke up to the feeling of the grass tickling his nose. The sound of a waterfall rushed in his surprisingly, heavier ears. He opened one eye groggily, noting in the back of his mind that his eye sight was as sharp, if not sharper than before. After noticing the grassy plain surrounded by trees and flowers, the newly altered Toshiro Hitsugaya immediately stood up, ignoring the dizziness that came along with doing so.
Well, as far as he could stand up on his four feet. He froze, slowly looking down. He saw white fur all across his body, four bright, teal feet. He looked over his shoulder, seeing two darker, rhombus-shaped, teal spots on his back, also noticing the 'hair' from his head was hanging down- the rhombus-shaped end the same color as the spots on his back, but the rest were a lighter shade, which were about the same color as his feet. Not to mention the heavier weight that was pointing up, coming from near his posterior with the same rhombus-shaped and darker teal color at the end. Though, the rest of the tail was white. It didn't take a genius to know that he was indeed, no longer a human-shaped soul.
He twitched. When he did, however, he noticed that his ears also twitched. His vibrant, still teal eyes traveled upwards. There, on the left and right side of his head were two, white ears, along with two, dark teal rhombuses as inner ears that were all over ten times the size of his regular ears.
How would an average person react to this situation?
Ah yes, they would probably freak out, try to run around but only succeeding in tripping over their own feet, all the while screaming about where the hell they were or how did they become a monster or what the heck they were supposed to do. Maybe even go as far as to physically hurt himself or herself to try to snap out of the 'dream'.
But he was a Taicho. He had trained himself, mentally and physically, to handle almost any situation he could possibly land himself in. Of course, this was a situation that he never would have imagined, but that did not take away his years of instinct and survival skills. So he stood calm, analyzing everything, before formulating his plan of action.
That of course, came with learning how to control and figure out the puzzle that was his new body...and finding out if he was the only living being that was around.

"Hey Brock, is it done yet? I'm starving!" A young boy with dark blue hair and huge glasses complained.
"Almost done, Max," Brock answered patiently, stirring the soup in the pot. Having gotten used to the constant impatient characteristics of his group when it comes to food, he did not get angry in the slightest.
"Man, seeing our Pokémon eat is making me hungry!" the only Pokémon Trainer lounged back with a grin, watching all of their Pokémon eat their Pokémon food.
"You always say that, Ash," May commented exasperatedly, turning to look at Ash with her hands on her hips. "And just wait! Brock's almost done! Besides, you don't seem that hungry anyways," she added, seeing his relaxed and care-free expression.
"I too am hungry!" Ash protested, sitting up.
"Then why don't you look like it?"
"I don't think everyone has to look hungry to be hungry, May."
"Yeah, but you usually aren't part of 'everyone'."
"Why are you guys even arguing over who's hungry or not in the first place?" Max asked, sweat-dropping. His sister and Ash looked at him, then looked at each other before shrugging, the earlier conversation dissipating.
"I really am hungry, though," Ash commented. His stomach growled and he put a hand over it sheepishly.
"Don't worry Ash," Brock said loudly for them to hear him across the clearing. "It just got done!" He held out a bowl for emphasis.
"Haha! All right!"
After having their fair share of the fill of their bowls, they all sat down and started eating eagerly. Not too long after, Pikachu, Ash's first Pokémon, twitched his ears and looked off into the bushes, "Pika?"
Ash seemed to notice this action, as he hurriedly finished his bowl and looked up. "What is it Pikachu?" He also noticed that the other Pokémon stopped eating and were also staring at the bushes, catching his companions' attention.
"What is it, guys?" Brock asked the non-responsive Pokémon. Instead, he was answered by the bushes rustling and pushed away to reveal one of the most new Pokémon that shouldn't even be in this region. Brock stood up abruptly, seeing that it was injured and exhausted as it barely even was able to walk without limping. All of a sudden, it collapsed. He let out a small noise of surprise and ran towards the battered Pokémon, his friends following after him.
Once they reached the unknown Pokémon, May opened her Pokedex to identify it. To the surprise of everyone who was present, the screen came off blank with a fuzzing sound accompanying it.
"What the-?" May blinked. "That's never happened before."
"I think it's because this Pokemon isn't from this region, May," Max pointed out, watching Brock start treating the Pokemon.
"You're right, Max," Brock said, frowning with worry at the condition the Pokemon was in. No wonder why it had collapsed. With the wounds it was carrying, it was a miracle that it was still conscious. Of course, there was nothing that serious as a broken bone or deep cuts, but the sheer amount of bumps and bruises almost made up for it. "The only reason why it's in this state is probably because since it's extremely rare, someone tried to capture it."
"Or maybe it got attacked by other Pokemon or had an accident," Ash seconded, looking equally worried.
"Oh, that poor thing," May said, gasping slightly. She knelt down, barely brushing her fingers over the Pokemon's face in fear of adding to its pain. "There, there, Brock will take care of you. We all will."
They watched Brock finally finish tending to the Pokemon in silence. "There," Brock said, wrapping the Glaceon in a blanket and setting it down, "just a few hours of rest and it'll be fine." Just as he put the bundled up Pokemon on the ground, May's Eevee immediately ran over and snuggled next to the Pokemon.
"Huh? Eevee?" May had been about to rise from her crouch, but the sight of he Pokemon coming stopped her. One look from the Eevee, though, as well as the position the Pokemon was in was enough for her to understand. "Oh, I see," she realized, smiling at the cuteness, "You're going to protect it, aren't you?"
"Ee," Eevee chirped in response.
After a few minutes of talking, the humans headed back to their table and started to clean up (or finish their food in some cases).
"Hey, are any of us going to catch it?"
They all looked at Ash for a moment, as he was the one who asked, before the question actually sunk in. They were silent for a while, contemplating.
"I don't think we should...yet," Brock was the first to say. "It probably has been running from people the whole day, so I suggest that we let it rest for a while and let it decide if it wants to join us."
"I guess you're right," Ash agreed, though he sounded a bit disappointed. He handed the last dish off to Brock and yawned. "I think i'm going to go take a nap. Wake me up in a few, all right?"
May looked up from wiping the table. "Yeah sure," she answered, smiling. "Though it depends on what you mean by few."
Max joined in the teasing. "Yeah, it could be a few seconds, a few minutes, a few months..." They couldn't help but grin when they saw the disgruntled look on the teen's face.
"You get my point," he grumbled, but his lips twitched in a smile. He went to the shade of a nearby tree and settled down onto his back with his hands behind his head. Pikachu joined him a second later, taking advantage of the space on his stomach. He didn't really mind, though. Pikachu wasn't that heavy. Before the drowsiness fully took him, he opened an eye to take a peak at the new Pokemon they saw.
The last thing he thought before he fell under was how the Pokemon would be like when it woke up.
I hoped it all worked out okay! But before I forget, I'll also be answering reviews also.
Please review~!
