A/N: Recently I had written my FIRST drabble ever after many tries and wouldn't you know it, I just came up with my 2nd one already lol. I didn't think I would so soon but the idea just came to me in bed last night. This drabble is not beta'd so any and all mistakes are mine.

The Sign

Four year old Anna looked around the room full of cats. There were so many needing a home. Grissom and Sara said she could have a cat and took her to the local cat shelter.
She watched kittens play and patted a few when suddenly she spotted one sitting on a cat tower watching her.
"Hi Kitty" she said as she patted his head.
Prrrr Prrrr
Anna gasped, "I want him mommy."
"You sure?" asked Sara as she read his collar. Corky. 8 yrs. Old
"Yes"
"What made you choose him?" asked Grissom at home.
"He said he loved me."

A/N: This drabble is loosely based on how I got my cat almost 3 yrs. Ago(except I was a grown adult and not a 4 yr. old like Anna lol). My mother came with me to a shelter just for cats. They had 2 rooms where the cats lived openly, meaning they didn't live in cages, and they had an outdoor area that was fenced in, including the top, so they could go outside onto a nice large wooden deck. It took me 2 days to decide. There was so many. On the 2nd trip there, sitting on the cat tower all nice and straight, was an Orange tabby named Corky. I had seen his collar before but he was sleeping in a condo at the time so I couldn't get a good look at him. On each of the cats collars it had their names, age, and when they got there. According to his collar he had been there for a year, since he was 7. As soon as I picked him up he started to purr. No other cat had done that when I picked them up. I knew right then that he was the one for me and brought him home. The volunteers were excited cause of how long Corky had been there and he had been a shelter favorite cause he was so sweet. Its easier for younger cats to get adopted over older cats but I knew I wanted an adult male orange tabby. He's still just as sweet as ever and I hope to have him for many years to come. Hope you enjoyed my 2nd little drabble and I'd love it if you left me a review, thanks :)
