Lucy and Natsu!
It's set after the Phantom Lord Guild (it was Phantom Lord right?) was hired to kidnap Lucy. It's just an alternate ending to that chapter/episode I came up with. Hope you enjoy!

Lucy sobbed quietly in the most secluded corner she could find in her rented house, the closet.
No one will find me here, not even Natsu. I can be left to sob in peace. Jeez, just look at me a member of Fairy Tail sobbing her eyes out in a dusty old closet. I'm a mess, despicable. But, I just can't stop thinking about the home I ran away from. Maybe I should just go back, I could save my friends from getting injured because of me at least. No! What are you thinking? You can't leave Fairy Tail! You love it there! Erza, Gray, Happy, Levy, Master, all my other friends from the Guild and… Natsu…
Just as she thought his name the door swung open, making Lucy jump in surprise. Natsu…
"Wha? How did you find me? Leave me alone!"
"Lucy, you know better then that. You can't hide from me, enhanced senses and all that remember?"
Lucy looked at the floor and hid her face from view, so as to hide her tears. She didn't know why she bothered; he would just smell them anyway.
"What were you hiding for anyway? You know everybody's frea-"
Whatever he had been about to say was lost as he studied her bowed head and sniffed the air.
"Luce, are you… crying?"
She quickly ran a hand across her face to wipe away the tears; unfortunately for her they left brown marks across her face from the dust in the closet.
"N-n-no."
"Lucy… it's okay, the fighting's over for now you don't have to hide anymore."
She glanced up; surprised that Natsu of all people could say something like that and actually sound (let alone be) sincere.
"B-but he'll just come back again, and again until he either breaks me or succeeds in bringing me home. M-m-maybe I should just give myself up-"
"No!"
"N-Natsu?"
"You are not going to do that! I don't care how sorry you feel! It wasn't your fault and you're not going to just give yourself up like that! That would be admitting defeat! Not doing what he wants and standing up to him will piss him off even more then if you give up. You want to protect your friends don't you? Then don't leave and stay strong, that's the best thing you can do for them. Besides, who's to say that the person he hires won't bother to let us live and fire at us anyway, like that bastard from Phantom? No, the best you can do is to stay strong and stand proud, that will make the biggest impact. And everyone knows that fighting a weakened enemy is easier then fighting one at full strength."
Heh, typical Natsu; always thinking about fighting. He's right though, standing up to him front on would make the biggest blow.
"Okay, thanks Natsu."
"Heh, no more crying okay?"
"Okay."
"Good."
Natsu helped Lucy out of the closet and closed the door.
"Let's get back to the guild and help everyone clean up, 'kay Luce? They've been worrying their butts off looking for you."
"'Kay, I think I owe everyone an apology. Let's go."
To Natsu's surprise she took his hand and led the way to the smashed guildhall.
Thank you Natsu, for everything. I really am a mess and all this stuff about my father didn't help. But, you know what? I think I've gotten stronger… so it's true…
