Prologue
My heart starts slamming in my chest, I take an involuntarty breath that sounds like a gasp. He didn't say that, he didn't. This is some strange dream. It has to be. Because there is no chance in hell I just lost him again. None. He promised me. But he's still giving me this strange look, and my hands start shaking. My eyes feel hot and wet. Oh God.
"Booth, tell me you're joking, please. You know who I am." He shakes his head slowly, and I wrench myself away from his bed, trying to not run through the door. I fish in my pocket for my phone. It's 2 in the morning, so they'll all be in bed, but I should tell.
I phone them, one after another, and leave a message saying the same thing.
"He's awake. But he doesn't remember. He said, "Who are you?"
----
And when they wake up in the morning, after they gasp and cry at the news, Seeley Booth's words set them all thinking. Just who are they?
