Elsanna Week, Day 1 Prompt: Cuddles

"Ellllsaaaaaaaaaaaaa..." Anna groaned. Elsa looked up from her desk. Her sister was on the floor in front of the fireplace, laying on her back with limbs splayed out, feet propped against the wall. She was watching Elsa with an air of complete boredom.

"I really need to get all this done," she said, sighing as she dipped her quill into the ink pot, scribbling her signature on yet another sheet of paper.

"You've been at it for hours," Anna whined. She lowered her feet and rolled over to her stomach. "Take a break."

"Anna, I can't take a break..."

Anna started to pout.

"These sheets won't sign themselves, Anna."

Blue eyes were becoming wider, puppy-ish. Elsa closed her eyes, trying not to smile. If she didn't look at her sister, she wouldn't be trapped by that adorable expression. She heard her sister move. Elsa resolutely looked down at her papers and began to put her signature on the dotted lines.

"Just for a minute..." came Anna's plea, quiet and pitiful sounding. Elsa made the mistake of glancing up again.

Anna's face was a picture of innocent hope. She was sitting on her knees, hands in her lap, waiting for Elsa. Always waiting for Elsa.

Damn it.

"Fine," she sighed, putting her quill down. Anna's face immediately brightened. "Just for a minute. What do you want to do?"

Anna's arms went up, reaching for her sister. "Cuddle me," she demanded.

Elsa got up and walked over to her sister. As soon as she was withing reach, Anna grabbed her hands and pulled, making Elsa topple into her waiting arms.

"Gotcha," Anna said, wrapping her arms tightly around Elsa.

Elsa smiled and buried her face into Anna's neck. Anna always smelt like summer and chocolate. Her arms were the greatest place on earth, as far as Elsa was concerned. However...

"Let me get comfortable," She said. She was kneeling awkwardly, with her arms pinned to her sides and leaning into Anna's shoulder. Anna squeezed tighter.

"Nope," she said. Elsa could hear the smile in her voice.

Elsa laughed. She let a moment pass, listening to her sisters breath before she tried again.

"My legs are falling asleep."

"Don't care."

"Come on, Anna."

She felt Anna shake her head.

She rolled her eyes. Her sister never learned. She waved a hand and a pile of snow came out of nowhere, toppling them both over so they were laying on the ground. Anna squeaked.

Elsa used the advantage the snow provided to shift her position so that she was holding Anna, spooning her against her body.

"You are such a cheater," Anna muttered. She gave a little shiver.

"It's okay," Elsa said sweetly. She leaned over and kissed her sister on the cheek. "Love will thaw," she murmured before kissing behind Anna's ear. The snow melted into the air, leaving them dry.

Anna, despite her protest, relaxed into Elsa's embrace. She was so easily worried, Elsa had noticed since the eternal winter had ended, but she was also easily comforted. All it took was a touch from Elsa and she was relaxed and happy. And Elsa found the same happened to her – a tight hug, a kiss, a caress. Every touch was a reminder that she was no longer alone.

After a while her arm began to prickle. Laying on the floor wasn't very comfortable, and she and Anna seemed to wind up like this a lot. She made a mental note to get carpets installed in the palace. Then she sighed.

"I need to get back to work," she said, letting Anna hear the regret in her voice.

Anna didn't restrain her. She knew when Elsa was being serious. She did pout, again, however.

Elsa smiled, cupping her face to give her a slow, sweet kiss before she stood.

"Another hour, love, and then I'll give you all the cuddled you want."
