"Cas, come on," Haven sighed. "We've been home from the hospital for three days and you still haven't held Hope." Castiel looked at the baby in his wife's arms. He wanted to hold his daughter but he was afraid. He didn't have very much experience with babies.

"I'm worried that I will drop her her," he said quietly. Haven smiled softly at her ex-angel.

"You won't drop her. Come sit beside us," she said. Castiel moved to the couch. He knew he needed to try holding his daughter. Sam and Dean had already held her multiple times when Haven needed them to. The brothers had been quite helpful around the bunker when it came to the new baby.

"How do I hold her?" he asked. Haven beamed.

"See how my arms are? Put your arms like this. You'll have to make sure to keep one arm under her neck," Haven explained. She turned towards him and shifted the baby into his arms. He felt his heart speed up at the small weight in his arms.

"Hello, beautiful girl," Castiel whispered. He looked at the baby girl. "She's amazing."

"I told you that you'd be fine," Haven said. "I bet she's really happy to have her daddy holding her." She pressed a kiss to Castiel's cheek.

"I'll hold her much more from now on," he whispered. And would make sure he did.
