Pyjamas, Chocolate and Wine.
All Emily Prentiss wanted to do after two weeks away on the last case was go home and put her pyjamas on. The case involved kids, the cases the whole team hated, as it hit close to home. It reminded them that kids needed not to worry about the things they hunted on an almost daily basis.
The work didn't just stop once the caught the unsub, it didn't stop at the office when they get back from said case, they also take it home, paper work, their minds never stop from ticking over. Emily wanted nothing better than to put her pyjamas on, grab a block of chocolate and a big glass of wine. In fact her whole body screamed for a nice hot bubble bath before she did those things. She wanted to put the case from her mind.
She walked in the door of her apartment and dropped her bag at the door before disarming the alarm system. Walking further into her apartment she made her way to the bathroom, making her way to the bath and turning it on. Waiting until the there was steam she put in the bubble mixture and started to undress. She sank into the tub and felt the warm water relax her muscles.
After a while she got out and wrapped the big white bath towel around her now damp body. Walking into her bedroom she pulled her oldest and more comfortable pyjamas from the closet. Walking out of her bedroom, she turned on the tv, and continued to head in the direction of the kitchen.
Emily went to the pantry and got the bottle of wine she usually reserved for special occasions, she figured the next time she went shopping she'd replace it. She went to the fridge and pulled out a block of chocolate and headed back toward the lounge.
Grabbing the blanket she kept on the back of the couch she settled in for the night, chocolate and wine on the table in front of her. Turning her attention to the television for a moment, she saw there was a trash soap opera – one of her many secret guilty pleasures – she'd never admit to any one. Taking a gulp of wine, she broke off a square of chocolate, allowing it to melt in her mouth, she snuggled into the blanket, settling in for the night.
Curled up with the blanket around her shoulders she didn't notice when Sergio entered the room. The cat padded over to her and jumped on Emily's lap hoping he'd get lucky with some affection. Emily petted Sergio as the cat lay on her stomach, purring away. The purring cat started pawing at her, massaging her, relaxing the still stiff muscles in her sore body. Feeling her eyes get heavy, both cat and human fell into a relaxing sleep.
