A/N So I deleted my other story, I really wasn't happy with it and I didn't have time to work on it. I hope everyone understands...
So here's my new story. I like it a lot better because I gave it a lot of thought and I know exactly what's going to happen and when thanks to this awesome outline my friend helped me with. (3 you MAE).
So this chapter was kinda hard to write for two reasons, one the preface is the hardest and because it is incredibly sad.

Preface
The day my mom died was the worst day of my life.
We were on our way home from the grocery store. I was in the front seat talking to her about these Karate lessons in Port Angeles that I really wanted to try.
It was dark and rainy, which made it impossible to see the drunk driver flying down the road towards us.
It was quick. He hit my mom's side and pushed us for what seemed like forever before we went off the bridge. After that, all I can remember was the flash of lights and sirens.
I woke up in the hospital a week later with a broken rib and ankle, fracture cheek, and cuts and bruises everywhere. My dad stayed by my side everyday for the three weeks I was in the hospital.
When I found out my mom was killed, my world shattered. I felt as if I would never be happy again. And I wasn't, until I met my best friend in the whole world, Leah Clearwater.
