~THIS IS A PROMPT I GOT OFF PINTEREST. I WROTE THIS STORY BUT THE IDEA WASN'T MINE.~
Adrien was cuddled into Marinette's side while they watched an anime that Adrien had been obsessing about for weeks. Well at least Adrien tried to watch it, but he couldn't help sneaking glances every minute at his beautiful girlfriend and lady.
"You're gonna' have to work on being more subtle 'cause I can feel your stares coming from a mile away," Marinette said turning her head and giving him that honorable smirk, letting him know that he was being very blunt with his stares. They were now nose to nose and Adrien could feel Marinette's minty breath on his lips. He frowned.
"Bugaboo, Pay attention to me." Adrien pleaded. He could see Marinette's eyes twinkle with mischief as she tilted her head to the side and looked at him. By the look in her eyes, he could tell he was in for a witty comeback.
"We were just making out two minutes ago." Marinette teased. It was true though. When Marinette settled herself next to Adrien on the chaise and gave him a chaste kiss on the lips; he might have gotten a little bit carried away wanting more. They both startled and broke apart when the anime started playing and they realized why they were there in the first place. So in the end, they settled back down and continued watching the episode.
"I don't see your point," Adrien growled out. His lady had been gone a whole week when she went to Toronto to debut her new fashion line. Adrien has been long overdue attention from Mari. She rolled her eyes at his antics.
"What am I going to do with you, you mangy alley cat?"
"Kiss me."
"Oh my god, you're so cliché" Marinette inquired.
Adrien got this look on his face and his eyes shuffled around the room before settling on her eyes again. He moved his head so his face was buried in the crook of her neck and his body was wrapped around hers.
"What if I want to be cliché?" Chapped lips mumbled against pale skin.
Marinette had a feeling there was a double meaning in that sentence. One that she didn't think she would figure out. She cradled his head closer to her neck and scratched the place behind his ears. Feeling him slightly relax into her.
"Then be cliché," Marinette mumbles back softly, sliding her fingers in through a curtain of blonde hair and tugging slightly. Everything is so right. "Tell me how my eyes are bluer than the sky."
"The bluest" Adrien's fingers trace the constellation of freckles on Marinette's face.
"Tell me that it was love at first sight."
"It was love at first sight."
Marinette's lips catch Adrien's and they stay like that for eternity, breathing each other in.
Coaxing out the cold with a strike of a match.
"I love you, Adrien."
Adrien's breath catches.
"I love you too, Marinette."
With a burning flame.
