Chapter 1

Authors note: I think I have gone overboard with writing Shugo Chara stories, I can't really help it that I get inspiration from other people stories, which help me create my own! I'm working hard to add a mixture of humor, drama, romance and supernatural to this story! So, please enjoy, and REVIEW!

Past

Amu has known ever since she was young that her family was not really normal, but it never bothered her at all. But, that changed when Amu turned thirteen. She was no ordinary human girl, but instead she was an immortal werewolf.

Once, Amu learned what her family was, her mother and father sent her to a boarding school. That taught young werewolves how to control their powers, talk to their inner wolf, and transform at will.

In the first few weeks Amu quickly found out there were several pack at the school. All were quite strong, but the top two packs where run by Tsukiyomi, Alpha of the Faded Night Pack, and Hitori-kun, Alpha of the Diamond Heart Pack.

The two packs were not exactly acquaintances, but they could put off some of their differences to solve mutual problems. But, other problems just turned into fights, with blood and claws.

It was not long before Hitori Tadase invited Amu to join his pack, but for a reason Amu would never expect.

Present

Amu woke up to the sound of her alarm clock going off, and got up like normal to go fix breakfast the pack.

Without hesitation, the pinkette grabbed an outfit from her wardrobe. The outfit consisted of a red and black tank top and dark gray skinny jeans. She then headed to the bathroom to get a quick shower, before starting breakfast.

Amu slipped into the shower, and let the warm water pass over her soft sun kissed skin. A happy sigh passed her lips, as she squeezed a bit of some, strawberry, shampoo into her hands. She then brought her hands to her head, and began to message it into her hair.

Ten minutes later Amu stepped out of the shower, and dried off. As soon as her body was mostly dried she slipped on her cloths, and pulled her wet pink hair into a neat French braid, that hung in the middle of her back.

Hanging her towel on the towel rack Amu left the bathroom, and then her own room. She headed to the kitchen, to prepare breakfast. Turing on the kitchen lights the pinkette got to business making pancakes, from scratch, as well as eggs and bacon.

Time passed quickly until Amu heard some of her pack mates getting up, and getting ready. She heard them tumbling down the stairs and down the hallway to the dining room, where the food would be ready for them.

Amu watched as some of them came into the dining room, as she placed another stack of pancakes and another plate of bacon onto the table.

"Good morning." Amu said, without looking over her shoulder to see who it was. She know by the sent the person was giving off to know it was Tadase. Tadase is the alpha of the Diamond Heart Pack.

He's handsome by far. With, the perfect long locks of blond hair and his bright big round ruby eyes.

"Good morning Hinamori-san. You're up doing your morning chores I see." Tadase said, with a prince like smile.

"I hope you're hungry! I have everything about finished." The pinkette answered back, as she took the last plate of food to the table. Within a few minutes Amu had the table full of food and drinks. Not long after Tadase sat down did the rest of the pack settle into their spots at the table. Amu included took her seat at the opposite end of the table.

"Itadakimasu." The group said in union before they began to eat. Amu gave a soft smile before taking a few pancakes, a spoon full of eggs, and a couple pieces of bacon. Everyone ate fast, like usual. The pack got done eating early, again, so Amu could clean up before heading to school.

Times skip

The Diamond Heart Pack reached the school, with enough time left to get to their home rooms in time before the bell rang, signaling class was about to start.

Amu followed a few members of the pack as they walked down the east hallway. She stayed a good distance from them. The halls where packed and people bumped into each other as they hurried to class. Small mumbles of sorry or excuse me could be heard all around.

The pinkette entered her home class room and took her seat. Ten or so minutes passed before the bell rang and the teacher walked, and started name count.

"Here." Amu said as the teacher said her name.

Amu sighed out of boredom half an hour into the teacher's lecture. Before she know it her mind began to wonder, that is until a voice spoke up. Her inner wolf.

'You know, you should not let your mind wonder during class.'

'Yes, I know, but I can't help it. It's a slow day for me and you know it Amulet-chan.' Amu thought back.

'No, you're thinking about confessing your feeling to Tadase later today.' Amulet-chan answered back.

'I'm debating to tell him or not. He is the alpha so talking to him one on one is quite hard.'

'Are you saying you're scared?' Amulet's words hung on Amu's mind for a few seconds before Amu answered back.

'I'm not scared.' Amu paused, as if she was debating on whether she was really scared or not. 'I'm just not sure, but I can still try.'

'Who knows? Try after school he is usually the last to leave, because of his duties on the student council.'

Amu nodded and smiled 'Thanks Amulet-Chan, I know I can count on you when I need you.' Amu thought.

The thought of telling Tadase-kun her feelings made Amu impatient for school to end.

Finally, Amu heard the bell ring, signaling it was lunch break. The pinkette got up and headed to her locker to put her books away before heading to get something to eat.

"Hi Amu." A short blond girl said, from behind the pinkette.

"Rima, it's good to see you." Amu said, as she turned to looking at her. She was indeed short for her age, but made up for it in other ways. Rima had extremely long golden curly locks, that ended somewhere around her knees. Her large doe like eyes where a light golden color, that showed almost no emotion. Sadly, Rima wasn't part of Amu's pack. No, she was part of the Faded Night Pack.

"Utau, and Yaya are coming, so let's go get a table." Rima said grabbing the pinkette's arm and pulled her into the lunch room.

"Glad to see you too." Amu mumbled, as she was dragged along. Rima picked out a table near the rear of the cafeteria. As soon as they were sitting they started talking about how their summer break went. As they talked neither spotted two figures approaching their table.

Amu jumped and squealed as a pair of hands landed on her shoulders. Laughter erupted from behind her, and instantly Amu know who it was. Amu turned and looked at her attackers, or should that be attacker?

A girl, with twin blond ponytails, was holding her stomach as she laughed. Tears where even dripping from her violet eyes. A smile came to Amu's face as she saw her friends, glad they were doing so well.

"So, Amu how are you liking the pack life? I know you have only been in the Diamond Heart Pack for a few years." Utau asked, as she flipped her long blond ponytails behind her back so they wouldn't get in her food.

"It's good, even though I do most of the work around the pack house, but I have no complaints." Amu said, not looking up at her friend who looked worried.

"Well, they do want to make sure you know how things work before they let you do other things in the pack." Rima interjected.

"Ikuto-chi tested Yaya and Rima before he let Yaya and Rima join his pack! Each alpha has their own test for each new pack member." Yaya said in a baby-ish tone, as she sucked on a lollypop. Amu nodded in agreement, before standing up to go get something to eat.

"Hey, Amu you free after school? I want you to go shopping with me." Utau said as she put a spoon full of jelly into her mouth.

"Not to day. I got something to do after school" Amu replied, blushing at her thoughts. Amu sighed inwardly, she was not able to tell Utau that she hadn't been shopping since she arrived. Amu forgot what you were supposed to do during a shopping trip, other than buying things.

Since she had joined the pack most of what she got was given to her as a gift from her friends on her birthday, other than that she had not gotten any.

"Well, let me know when you are free! I want you to go shopping with us!" Utau said, as she shoved another spoon of jelly into her mouth.

"I will." The pinkette said, before walking off to get her lunch.

Lunch time passed quickly as the school day went quickly. Amu tried to focus on her last class of the day, but she couldn't. Amu began to doddle on a blank sheet of note book paper waiting for the final bell to ring so everyone would leave, so she could see her prince.

Amu jumped up as the final bell rang, everyone looked at her. Embarrassed, Amu hurried to the exit of the room. Once out of the room she headed for her locker to but her books away. Once that was done she went off to find Tadase-kun. It didn't take long for Amu to get to the student council room.

As she approached the room she saw that the door was wide open. Amu made her way to the open room, a smile on her face. Suddenly, she stopped as she thought she had heard voices. Amu slowed down and crept her way closer to the door, watching to make sure she made no sound.

"Tadase, why did you let her join? No one really likes her in the pack, except for the things she does." A familiar female voice spouted. Amu froze in her movement to get closer. She stopped and listened to their conversation. Why would they be talking about her? Who was this other girl with Tadase?

"Let who in, Saaya?" Tadase said, a hint of unknowing.

"Hinamori Amu of course! No one but the teachers have seen her wolf form." Saaya said, in a pouting way.

"I let her join because I got tired of paying a maid to cook and clean, plus to she is gullible. All I have to do is give her a smile and a few sweet words and look what we have." Tadase said.

Amu stood trembling near the door, anger rising inside her.

"You know she like you more than a friend." Saaya said, with a giggling sound.

Amu's heart dropped, she had worked so hard to get to know him and the hole time he was using her as a maid? Amu clenched her fists as tears formed in her eyes.

"Her hair is so un-natural! I bet she dyed her hair that color to get attention! Sorry, maide but with no body like that you won't get any one!" Saya said calmly. Tadase added a few things to it, but suddenly stopped when the sound of footsteps thundered down the hall, away from them.

Out of curiosity he walked over to see who it was, but by the time he got there he saw no one. But, a familiar sent of strawberries filled his nose, causing him to freeze 'Did she hear what was said?' He asked his inner wolf.

'That is a huge possibility.' His inner wolf replied, as Tadase turned to look at Saya.

Amu felt hurt, no she felt betrayed, but most of all rejected.

Turning around a corner Amu no longer cared if they knew she was there. All she knew was that she had to leave the pack. Where she would go never crossed her mind.

She did not stop running, even as she wiped away the tears. She kept running until she was at the packs house and lucky for her not many where there. Making a beeline she ran to her room and packed her things.

As Amu was rechecking the room for anything she missed, she suddenly remembered one thing she kept on her that Tadase had given her for her birthday. It was something she had treasured, necklace and anklet set that showed she was a part of his pack.

She grabbed the necklace and ripped it off along with the anklet and threw it on to the floor in front of her room door, before running out of the house.

Amu stepped in to the forest that the pack hunted in, while in their wolf forms. Taking off the cloths she was wearing she changed in to her wolf form.

Her wolf form was beautiful, gorgeous. Her fur was pure white, like snow. Her eyes where pink, a shade of pink that was so vibrate that it gave a new meaning to pink. Not to mention that her wolf body was well built.

Amu picked her bag up with her mouth, before taking off into the forest.

It hurt after finding out the truth, about why she was there. It was not because she was special, she was there to be a maid for that pack, nothing else.

Amu kept walking until she walked out of Tadase's territory, but not as far as to enter into Faded Night Pack territory.

There was a place that was neither Tadase's nor Ikuto's territory. It was a place of its own. Looking around she found a place to put her stuff. She placed it in a massive Cryptomeria Japonica tree.

There was a large hollow hole in the tree that was perfect to keep her things dry when the weather acted up. Amu jumped up onto her back legs to reach the hole. Then she placed the bag into the hole before laying down, and soon falling asleep, a single sigh escaped her lips as she curled up into a ball.

From the shadow, not far from where Amu lay, was another wolf. He or she was watching her, and this wolf wasn't from the Diamond Heart Pack.

Back at the Pack house

Tadase and Saaya pulled into the driveway, and got out of the car. They headed into the house like normal, not expecting what they were about to find.

The blond haired boy and the red haired girl walked into the house finding the rest of the pack sitting with nervous expressions.

"What going on?" Tadase asked as he looking around his pack trying to figure out who was going on. No, one asked him, scared of what would come.

"The Alpha asked you something and he wants an answer!" Saaya growled at them, making most of the pack shrink down scared.

"No one has seen Hinamori-chan sense school let out." One of the lower raked wolves said, as he looked down nervously.

"Have you checked her room?" Tadase asked the lower rank wolf.

"I checked but I found nothing, most of her main things are gone. I did find the necklace and anklet you gave her as the pack mark outside the door, broken." The boy replied handing him the broken necklace and anklet.

"FIND HER." Tadase snapped, as he glanced down at the jewelry angrily. The pack bolted from the room in search of the girl.

Back in to the forest

Hours had passed since Amu vanished from the pack house. It was not long before the sound of an angry snarling and growling came from Tadase's pack territory. Amu was already standing waiting for them to show themselves.

The light gray werewolf that had been watching Amu, suddenly bolted back to inform his pack leader of what was happening. Even though he was a good distance away from them he could still hear the angry snarls of an alpha.

He pushing himself harder, until he saw his leader. The gray wolf quickly told what was happening in between pants. When he was done the leader gave instructions to a few other members, before he took off to the border, where the fight was soon to take place.

Amu listened to the snarling as a golden wolf with dark ruby eyes stepped into her view, followed by most of the rest of the wolfs in the pack…..
