Title: How To: Not Fall in Love With Your Partner

By: Dark Dreamscape
Lord Death: But I wrote that!
Jydaria: In the story, now you're spoiling it! Go, go! SHOO! *dies*

Author's note: First book in the "How To:" series. And these will be multi-chaptered.
First pairing: ... That's a surprise for you to find out soon~ Haha, I know I'm being evil. Too bad!

Disclaimer: I don't own Soul Eater, or those "For Dummies/Idiots" series.

Prologue: (Yes, a prologue guys! I don't have enough time to write a chapter. I'm going on hiatus. :O YEAH, I KNOW!) Failure's Revenge

Stein stared at the book in utter disgust. That... THAT... That book! He tried it, and it didn't work.

...Not like he needed it for specific uses... He just found the book on his bookshelf and looked at it in curiosity. The book's title, "How To: Not Fall in Love With Your Partner", shown into his eyes, as if mocking him. If he knew who actually wrote the book, he would kill him/her. (Actually... I'm meaning for it to be written by Lord Death, and Stein can't kill him. ...He doesn't know that~)

He denied it, and denied it with great passion. There was no way he way in love with Marie Mjolner. Even though he told himself this, somewhere deep inside his heart, he knew he was.

Clenching his fists, he made a sudden decision. Taking the book, he swiftly and silently left the patchwork lab and into the streets.

Hoping Marie wouldn't wake to find him gone, he entered the apartment. Not just any apartment, though. This room belonged to one of his students in the EAT (Especially Advanced Talent. If you don't know, read Soul Eater Not) class.

As his vision adjusted to the dark, his glasses glinted while he crept up silently, oh so slowly to the bookcase near the window. He found an empty slot near the end and slipped it in smoothly, as it fit perfectly.

The springs the the occupant's bed creaked loudly, and Stein rushed out of the room to avoid being caught.

"Mhmm..." the figure grumbled, falling out of the bed to walk through the doorway into the kitchen.

(V)!_!(V)

Outside, Stein could hear the student open the fridge to get something, and close it gently. Letting out a sigh of relief, he walked back to the patchwork lab.

Who knows whether it was madness or not, but it could also be described as... Inevitable. Yes, that suited it well. Very well.

Okay okay, I know. I should write a chapter. And also tell you guys who the first pairing is. But I'm going on hiatus, though I'll be writing a bit... I have a research report AND a mid-term exam so I'll be laying off fanfiction. I'LL MISS YOU GUYS! Maybe I'll write a bonus of Stein using the manual... Oh well. Hope you enjoyed, please give me feedback! Later~
