Cronus strummed his guitar, testing some chords out. After a while he moved his fingers, playing a basic melody. After doing that he started to play a slow song, closing his eyes while doing so, and begun to sing
Well I heard there was a secret chord
that David played and it pleased the Lord
But you don't really care for music, do you?
Well it goes like this:
The fourth, the fifth,
The minor fall and the major lift
The baffled king composing Hallelujah
Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah
He dipped his head, strumming his guitar softly, unaware of one person audience behind him, and begun to sing again
Your faith was strong but you needed proof Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah
You saw her bathing on the roof
Her beauty and the moonlight overthrew you
She tied you to her kitchen chair
She broke your throne and she cut your hair
And from your lips she drew the Hallelujah
He played again, his audience swaying to the music, he still didn't notice the person, and sung again.
Baby I've been here before Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah
I've seen this room and I've walked this floor (you know)
I used to live alone before I knew you
And I've seen your flag on the marble arch
and love is not a victory march
It's a cold and it's a broken Hallelujah
He swallowed, getting a little emotional. He took a deep breath and sung on.
there was a time when you let me know Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah
What's really going on below
But now you never show that to me, do you?
But remember when I moved in you
And the holy dove was moving too
And every breath we drew was Hallelujah
He felt arms slide around his neck, after giving a tiny jolt of surprise he relaxed in them, playing a solo, swaying to the song with the one person audience, and after a while he began to sing again, this time softer and gentler.
Maybe there's a God above Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah...
all I've ever learned from love
Was how to shoot somebody who outdrew you
And it's not a cry that you hear at night
It's not somebody who's seen the light
It's a cold and it's a broken Hallelujah
Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah...
Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah
Hallelujah, hallelujah
He finished the song, then felt a pair of lips kiss the top of his head. "You played great." The sea dweller gave a chuckle. "I didn't play that good."
The audience member shifted, and Cronus discarded his guitar, making room in his lap. "Yes you did, I love it when you sing." Cronus gave a tiny blush. "Your just saying that Kan."
Kankri smiled up at the blushing troll. "No I'm not, I really mean that." He leaned up and kissed him softly, wrapping his arms around his neck.
Cronus blushed, and returned the kiss, pulling the smaller troll closer, both lost in each others arms, one word running through their head.
Hallelujah.
Another CronKri story! Whoop Whoop! This is a song fic too!
I don't own Hallelujah (Obviously) nor do I own Homestuck, that belongs to The Huss.
See you all next time
