Lovely Eyes
By Angel Kamiya

Tomoyo was lying there on the bed on her stomach, reading the textbook, when she felt Eriol lay down next to her. He was helping her study for an important college exam that was coming up. They had spent the last hours doing nothing but study. While it was something she knew that she had to do, it was still difficult. They would need a break soon before one of them went crazy.

"You look tired Tomoyo," Eriol muttered. "Maybe you need some rest?"

"Maybe you're right," Tomoyo sighed, rolling over so she was looking up at the ceiling. "Nothing is more boring than calculus."

Eriol put his elbow against the bed, while resting the side of his head against his hand. He was lying there staring at the pretty girl that was by his side. She had long black hair and blue eyes.

"It's not that bad."

Tomoyo rolled onto her side, glancing at the boy that was beside her on the bed.

"Eriol-kun. Can I ask you something?"

"What is it?"

There was a long silence that followed. Tomoyo suddenly wished that she hadn't decided to ask him. It was a silly question, but it was something she had wanted to know about him for a long time now.

"Why do you wear glasses?" Tomoyo asked.

"Why are you asking me this now? We've known each other for years."

"It's... it's just that I thought magicians could use magic to give themselves perfect eyesight."

Eriol chuckled.

"I can't do that. Magic doesn't work that way," Eriol whispered, looking amused.

Tomoyo placed her hand on the side his face. Tomoyo stared at Eriol's gray eyes, suddenly thinking about nothing else but them. His eyes were so lovely.

"Your eyes are really beautiful Eriol-kun."

"I've thought about getting contacts."

"Really? I hope you keep wearing your glasses. I think you look sexy with them."

"I didn't know you prefer boys with glasses," Eriol replied, trying hard not to smile. "Sakura will find this interesting."

Tomoyo felt her face getting red.

"No! Don't tell Sakura-chan!" Tomoyo cried, hitting him on the shoulder.

"You hit really hard for a girl you know."

"That was nothing. Tell anyone what I told you and you are a dead man."

"I guess I'll keep wearing them if they make you happy," Eriol answered.

"Thanks."

Tomoyo reached forward, carefully taking off Eriol's glasses. As she moved her head forward, she kissed him on the mouth.
