B'Elanna felt the pull of the transporter, and within seconds, found herself standing on Voyager's transporter pad. Tom came from behind the transporter controls and wrapped his arms around her. She embraced him as well, finally realizing just how much she had missed him.

Captain Janeway waited patiently next to the pad for the two to let go of each other. When they did, she addressed B'Elanna. "'Ascend to the heavens?'" she asked, giving B'Elanna a puzzled look.

Before answering, B'Elanna stole a quick glance at Tom, who looked like he wanted to know just as much as the Captain did. "I was in the end of a play being performed in front of people who thought we were gods. I had to improvise."

"That definitely explains things," Tom said.

"Alright, I was just curious," Captain Janeway replied. "We'll tow the Flyer back into the shuttle bay tomorrow. Until then, B'Elanna, I suggest you go see the Doctor, and get some rest."

"Thank you, Captain," B'Elanna responded.

Janeway began to walk out the door when she thought of something. "B'Elanna, what was this play about anyways?"

"Us. It's a long story."

"Well then, when I have the time, I'll have to hear it." She walked out, leaving Tom and B'Elanna alone.

"So, Harry tells me you met a guy," Tom said cautiously.

"I did."

"What was his name?"

"Kelis."

"Oh. Was he cute?"

B'Elanna knew exactly where this was going. Instead of dealing with Tom's insecurity upfront, she decided to make it hard for him. "In his own way," she responded coolly.

"What do you mean 'in his own way'?"

"You know. Some guys are cute one way, others are cute in another." She knew she was being a bit mean, but she wanted to get a rise out of Tom, and he was giving her exactly what she wanted. When Tom didn't say anything else, she figured she had taken it too far. "I'm joking." She smiled and wrapped her arms around his neck. "No one, is cuter then you."

"Does that mean I don't have to worry about someone taking you away?"

"That's exactly what it means. You know why?"

Tom shook his head no.

"Because, I never want to be with anyone else but you." She kissed him gently on the lips. "Escort me to Sickbay?"

"Of course I will." B'Elanna placed her hand on the inside of Tom's arm, and they both exited the room.
