"Blaine, I think it's time we talk." Kurt said to his boyfriend as he laid aside his April 2010 Vogue magazine. Kurt and Blaine were in Kurt's bedroom after school, flipping through old Vogue magazines on a Tuesday afternoon. Graduation was currently 3 days away and they both had yet to face some serious issues that they would need to talk about.

"I knew this was coming." Blaine said more to himself than to Kurt.

"What did you know was coming?" Kurt asked.

"This." Blaine said, unable to stop himself from crying.

"Blaine, calm down." Kurt said.

"I just want to talk to you." Kurt said calmly to his tear-filled boyfriend.

"Okay." Blaine said willing his tears to stop falling.

"Blaine, You know I love you." Kurt began.

Ï love you to." Blaine told him.

"I can't do this." Kurt said.

"Do what?" Blaine asked confused.

"Break up with you." He answered crying.

"What, why?" Blaine asked.

"Blaine, I'm going to New York while you will still be in Ohio. You may meet someone else and you deserve to be free to do that." Kurt said while he was wiping away the tears that had gathered in his eyes.

"Kurt, I don't want anyone else."

"I can't imagine being with anyone except you."

"So, why break up. We love each other." Blaine asked, confusion evident on his face.

"High School couples rarely last and long distance just makes everything so much harder.

"You want to date other guys in New York. Is that what you're saying?"

"No. That's not it at all. Blaine, I love you. I just think breaking up will actually strengthen ourselves and our relationship if we decide to get back together afterwards."

"I understand." Blaine told him.

"So, this is it. We're officially over." Kurt said as he again tried to stop the onslaught of tears from streaming down his face.

"Yes." Blaine answered his now ex-boyfriend with tears falling down his own face.

"How about a kiss for old time's sake?" Kurt asked him hopefully but tearfully.

"Okay." Blaine agreed as they both leaned in close for one more last kiss. A couple minutes later, they finally pulled back with tears now flowing freely down both boys faces and neither one of them doing anything to stop it.

"Wait." Kurt said to him as Blaine was preparing to leave.

"Yeah." he answered.

"Blaine, I love you. Please forget everything I said about breaking up, It was stupid of me. You support me, you love me, you encourage me; Blaine, I need you with me." Kurt told him.

"I love you so much. You are the reason for everything I do. I want to impress you, make you proud to be with me." Blaine said as he sat down on the bed again.

So that is how Kurt and Blaine, the couple everyone said would never last made it through High School and onto college. They were willing to let each other go in order to each other happy.
