so here i am again. this time with a freeverse sequence of twelve separate poems, each based on an unusual or under-appreciated pairing. each poem will be published as a separate story, so if you want to hear about the next one you should put me on Author Alert and not this story on Story Alert. i hope you enjoy this one, it is wes/santana, which has, oddly enough, become one of my favourite pairings recently.
spoilers: from 2.06 (Never Been Kissed) onwards, for the existence of Wes and Dalton in general. Most of it isn't based around canon events, though, so you shouldn't have to worry too much.
disclaimer: i don't own glee, it belongs to ryan murphy and fox. insert appropriate funny comment here, i can't be bothered to think of them any more. :)

maybe it was that
one night
after another party at Hobbit's house
a mad mix of New Directions and Warblers
and he was the one who

enough to take you home and make sure you were okay.
some odd feeling

at the :thought: that he was the

and not end up in your bed.

maybe it was that time
sitting in his fancy prep school car
when he

{that little smile}
'you look really beautiful tonight, Santana.'
:and you couldn't think of a snide retort:
because no-one had ever told you that you looked
beautiful.
(hot...sexy...smokin', maybe)
but never beautiful.

maybe it was the time
-when you realised-
that every time you saw him
you started

don't get me wrong, i have nothing against brittana, in fact i love it, but westana just seems to have this odd pull for me. it's kind of like my relationship with puckurt stories.
please, please review and tell me your thoughts! it's lovely to get story favourites/author favourites, but i'd really like to know what you liked/disliked about it! constructive criticism would be really appreciated!
