Hello all. I have been inactive for the longest time. I apologize. Work and school has been hectic lately. Here I am, a little O/S to pass the time.
Picking up the Pieces
"Hey. You ready? It's your big day Bells." I put the picture down of my second love in life while giving it a small smile. I nodded and grasped the hand of my friend, a sister. "Of course." I smiled. She pulled along towards the front door of my two bedroom cottage house. Before she reached the door, I tugged on her hand gently. "Hey Emily?" I asked biting my lip and waited for her to turn around. Her brown eyes regarded me with happiness. "Yeah?" She asked smiling, her face perfectly forming a smile, her scars bringing her beauty shining brightly.
"Am I doing the right thing?" I asked. I toyed with my hands as Emily pulled me back in towards the couch, and we sat down. She lifted my face with her hands and smiled again. "You were never doing wrong. Paul loves you and so did Jacob. He always wanted you to be happy. No matter what." I sniffed and nodded giving out a breathless laugh as I realized I was crying. They were happy tears though. "I just miss him. He was my best friend, my lover. He made me...me." I looked away from Emily's face and stared into the carpet. Warm hands hugged my frame. "I understand. It's okay to move on. To love." She pulled back and wiped my tears. "Now come one. We have a wedding to get to and you're the star. Let's not keep Paul waiting shall we?" I nodded and laughed. "Yeah, I'm surprised he hasn't shown up yet making sure I'm here and not having seconds thoughts." Emily chucked and pulled me along outside. "Yeah, he of all people should know you would be having millions of thoughts. Let's go, let's go. I'm excited for you to see your dress."
