Well, hi there! This is my first fanfic so hey... Have fun! Also, I'm typing this on my mobile so sorry about potential mistakes as it does not have spell check.

I do not own Supernatural.

Castiel and Dean were wandering through Purgatory, treading carefully and hoping to find a place to spend the night, away from the prying eyes of the Monsters. Dean was eager to find a place of sanctuary as he was sure that he had just seen a pair of yellow eyes, although when Castiel looked there was nothing but the gnarled, twisted, old branches of the tree, grabbing at the flickering shadows.

Suddenly there was a shout and both Castiel and Dean immediately tensed and backed away, crouching to the floor. The sound came again, it sounded like it was not a shout of pain, Dean thought it was laughter, but shook that feeling away, who could possibly enjoy this place, the feeling of suffocating darkness and despair. The pair were curious now as they slowly edged through the bushes towards the noise.

There was a building. This alone would be shocking but this building, get ready, this building was made of candy. It was a full on Hansel and Gretel Gingerbread house, as though it had come straight off the set of the movie or out of the pictures in the book. Dean looked at Castiel, who seemed to be contemplating what this meant and what it was when suddenly there was another sound filling the air, the sound of speech, well, shouting.

"BALTHY, I can't believe you were so UN-CREATIVE! I'm glad I'm your role model and all but - Who am I kidding! You are brilliant dude! I. P. Freely? You, my man, are a genius! But, *Pass me a hershey bar will you?* next time, don't die!"

"Cas?" Dean whispered "Is that Gab-" He was cut off by Castiel jumping up and running to the door, knocking frantically. Dean was confused, Castiel had regained his sanity, collected his marbles, since their arrival. Is mad Cas back?

The door swung open by a cheery Balthazar, shouting that they didn't want to buy anything, when he saw Castiel. He immediately shut the door, and, after a moment of thought, threw it open again and socked the other angel in the face, throwing him back a few metres, damn he had a strong right-hook, Dean made a mental note not to piss him off, at least anymore than he already had.

"Who is it Balthy?" Came the shout from the other room of the gingerbread house, hell! It was practically a gingerbread mansion! "Casti-freaking-el and his lover" Was the reply and soon there was a pop and Gabriel appeared beside him, saw Castiel on the floor and heard the end of a statement by Dean proclaiming something about them not being together and how disgusting it was. Gabriel snapped them both in and closed the door, muttering something about how he wished the sweets wouldn't get sticky if the had central heating.

"Well," announced Gabriel, arms spread wide, "Welcome to my house, feel free to stay" He then rushed over to Cas and hugged him, apologising for not being there and dieing. Dean knew this was private and walked out, Cas had told him that Gay-briel had practically raised him and Balthazar.

From then on Cas, Balthy, Gabe and -Eventually- Dean lived happily ever after in their little gingerbread home.
