Picture this:
You are sitting at a table at school with some friends. Everything is normal. That is until you notice it has gone quiet and everyone is looking at the ceiling. You look up and see an owl swooping overhead. It heads for you. You duck just in time before it hits you, and it hits the window instead. You see that it's a barn owl and it has something tied to its leg. A note.
It reads:
Dear (Mr. /Miss YOUR NAME HERE)
I am delighted to inform you that you have been invited to study for one semester at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. You may bring with you two friends, of your choosing, and each of you may bring a pet to serve as a familiar. Cats, rats, toads, and bats are welcome.
You will be expected on platform 9 ¾ next Sunday, and will not be expected to bring anything other than day-clothes and your pet. Supplies will be purchased upon arrival.
