This Kiss
Their first kiss was the type fairy-tales were made of; at least that's how Shannon chose to remember it.
"Shannon," Gibbs whispered as they lay under a tree after a nice afternoon picnic, "I'm being deployed soon."
"I know," Shannon replied.
"So, I figured I ought to sort some things out," Gibbs uttered.
"You are not going to die or anything, Gibbs," Shannon responded as she put her hand on his lips. Gibbs hadn't told her about Joan Matteson.
Gibbs pulled her finger away and moved toward her mouth. Shannon moved closer.
They kissed.
In their minds fireworks went off.
