"Never Been" List

10. Never been to Venice.
9. Never been to Rome.
8. Never been to the Blue Note.
7. Never been caught in the rain in a romantic way.
6. Never been Prom Queen.
5. Never been more annoyed.
4. Never been more attracted.
3. Never been more challenged.
2. Never been more goal oriented
1. Never been more clueless…
Funny thing is that each one of the things on this list makes me think of Giovanni Rossi. With him I could go to Venice and Rome. I could go to the Blue Note and get caught in the rain and be swept away in a romantic kiss, like they do in the movies. To him, I am his Prom Queen. I have never felt more annoyed with someone, yet more attracted to someone at the same time. He has challenged me to be more goal oriented. I have never been more clueless until now.
I know one thing is for sure, Gio is the one. Sometimes in life, you need to jump and try something new. How could I have been so blind after everything he has done for me? I think back now at my stupidity and realize that I was blinded by someone else and too clueless to pick up on the fact that I could be loved by more than one guy.
He doesn't know how I feel, so I am expressing myself in the way I know myself best, through writing. He made me focus on the one thing that I wanted in life, to write. So now, I am focusing on the next thing I want in life, him. He's danced with me. He's laughed with me. He's saved my birthday. He's been patient with me. He's argued with me. He's been annoyed with me. He's sung with me. He's fallen in love with me. That part has taken my months to figure out.
Sometimes, we need a little jumpstart from someone else to figure out what we truly want out of life. I thank my sister and my father. Most of all, I thank Daniel for hiring Gio. Had I not gotten him fired a few hours after he had gotten hired, I would never have fallen in love with him.
What will be my next move, you ask? Well, call it clique but I will be waiting for him at the top of the Empire State Building at 8:00pm this Friday to check off one of the things on my list. It is supposed to rain that night. I am ready to begin my life and do the things on my "Never Been" list.
Gio, if you're reading this, know that I have been so stupid and so blind to never realize what was in front of me. You like me, just the way I am. I am ready to jump with you. I am ready to do things I have never done before. I challenge you to do the same, with me by your side.
