Welcome Home
He saw Shannon among the sea of people. She had a huge smile on her face and her arms held their daughter, who was quiet despite all the fanfare around them.
The troops were dismissed. Gibbs all but ran toward his wife and daughter.
"Gibbs," Shannon whispered as tears formed in her eyes.
"She's beautiful Shannon," Gibbs whispered. Shannon placed Kelly in her father's arms. At first the child seemed unsettled, she moved around.
"Kelly this is Daddy," Shannon whispered. Kelly calmed down. She settled into her father's arms and fell asleep. Shannon took a photo while smiling. "Welcome home."
