"Jakken, there is no room for failure" came her husband's deep voice. He was in the middle of a very important business call. He always had one after dinner before bed on Thursday. Kagome continued rinsing the dishes as she expected to hear him ask about the usual things in the office. But what she had heard surprised her. Instead of Sesshomaru's manly voice, she heard the soft girly one that belonged to their daughter.
"Daddy" Rin said. Kagome dried her hands and stood at the doorway of the kitchen. Sesshomaru paused in the conversation and looked down at Rin who had sat down next to him. She smiled sweetly and put her hand out.
"Daddy can I get some money?" she asked her big brown eyes shining brightly. Kagome just barely stopped herself from saying 'awww'. Her husband continued his conversation at he pulled out a roll of one hundred dollar bills and passed the child two bills. Kagome smiled at the exchange, thinking it was cute. But Rin wasn't satisfied.
"More" she said as she made a face that was more precious than the last. Kagome wanted to run up and glomp her adorable daughter but she refrained.
"Hold on" Sesshomaru said into the phone as he counted the wad of cash before just handing it to their daughter. She kissed his cheek and said "thank you daddy" and skipped away. Kagome laughed as she came into the dining room where he husband was sitting at the table. He saw the mischievous glint in her eye and decided to hang up telling Jakken he would call him back.
"What is so funny?" He asked eyeing her suspiciously. She laughed some more before answering his question.
"You are, dearest" she said. She walked up behind him and she kissed his cheek just as Rin had.
"What do you mean, This Sesshomaru?" he asked really genuinely confused. Kagome took a seat on the other side of him.
"I mean it's funny that the boss of half of the workers in this city is wrapped around his daughter's pinky finger." Kagome explained with a teasing smile.
"This Sesshomaru is not!" he protested as he crossed his arms over his chest an angry pout settling on his face which was also adorable.
"If you're not, then tell me why you just gave a Six year old two-thousand dollars." Kagome said. Sesshomaru opened his mouth to reply but shut it again realizing she was right. At that very moment Rin came up and sat on Kagome's lap.
"Mommy can we play hide and go seek?" Rin asked giving Kagome the same face she used on Sesshomaru. Kagome sighed.
"Rin, mommy's tired" Kagome resisted. So Rin upped the adorableness, putting on a puppy dog face and clasping her hands together.
"Oh Pleaaasseeee Mommy" Rin said trying again. Kagome sighed giving in to the cuteness.
"Okay, go hide." She said covering her eyes. Rin squealed and ran off to find a place to hide. Kagome didn't have to look to know her husband was smirking.
"This Sesshomaru is not only on that pinky finger" he said with a chuckle. Kagome rolled her eyes and ran after Rin.
