"What are you reading?"
Mulder looked up. "Oh. Dana. Hi."
Scully smiled slightly, sitting down next to him. Of all the tables in the busy lunchroom, why did she have to choose this one? He asked this.
"We're supposed to sit next to the kids who are alone. Also, I was curious."
Mulder nodded. "It's about serial killers." Scully nodded. "So I haven't scared you off?"
"No, I actually find such things fascinating."
"Finally! Someone else!" Mulder grinned widely. "I personally think that the Son of Sam was visited by a demon. Possibly even possessed."
Scully laughed.
"No, really." Her face turned serious.
"That's ridiculous. Demons don't exist."
"How do you know?" He stared at her with curious eyes. "Do you have proof?"
"I-I...do you have proof?"
"I believe I might." Mulder's eyes crinkled up at the edges and his lips turned up again.
"I don't believe you."
"Why? I can tell by our necklace that you believe in a magical sky God that grants wishes to those who have faith in Him. Are demonic possessions really that far fetched?"
Scully fell silent. She sighed. "Eat your lunch, Fox."
"Mulder."
"Mulder. We only have a couple minutes left of our lunch period."
They ate in contemplative silence until the group got up to leave.
"Listen, Dana, I'll bring my papers with me tomorrow."
"Call me Scully."
"What?"
"If we're on last name basis, call me Scully."
"Alright, Scully."
"How was camp today, Fox?"
"Fine. In fact, great."
"Make any new friends?"
"Yeah. Yeah, I did."
