"I'm so sorry…" the words resounded in her nightmares. The words spoken by the one man she could ever trust her life with. The one man she had ever come to love with her whole heart. She struggled everyday to shut the words out for once and for all, to forget what a naïve girl she had been to buy his every word, yet, it was not like he forced her, she chose to believe it. She had so willingly believed him because…she was consumed by hatred, loneliness and anger? No, she wanted to? That was more likely. She reminisced the last time they stood in each other's arms, for their final love. He was dying after he was stabbed in his left chest.
Here she leaned in his arms, weakened but yet firm and strong. Lightly she pressed her fingers against his dry lips for the first and final time and he nibbled them gently. "I couldn't create a new world where I, no you, no we, could live in peace and in…love…" he gave his signature smirk and slowly, painfully pulled her into a tighter embrace.
"No…no, you tried…It's okay…" she whispered softly and she curled her arms around his neck just like they used to, when he poured her with fake kisses as he claimed them be. Though he said that, there was passion and pleasure in the air every time their love met and bonded.
"Heh, I once said I'd never die in an glamorous honorable way yet I have been stabbed," he joked and for once in their lives, his eyes were filled with emotion not the cold and heartless crystals, "Well, I guess this is goodbye, huh?" He kissed her forehead, his lips lingering there before his head slowly disappeared. "Yui-sama…Goodbye, love. Till our next life time." With that farewell safely delivered, he closed his eyes and the rest of him disappeared into thin air.
"Nakago…" she dropped to her knees and tears started dripping the sides of her face, "I'm…sorry…" She continued to weep silently and slowly became a wail, the love of her life gone. Never again would he open those beautiful crystals and love her. It was over, the chapter of her love life…done for just like that.
