Kari opened her eyes at once; something was wrong, really wrong. She walked out her bedroom door and glanced down the banister to see everyone else in the household dead. As she got closer to the lifeless corpses below, she realized they seemed unusually pale and two distinct bite marks on their necks. She didn't want to believe it was true, 'there were no such things as…,' Kari stopped mid-sentence. She saw a dark shadow on the wall in front of her. It had wild, untamed hair and a long cape, which seemed to be floating around him. She screamed and slowly looked back to see the unknown creature of the night. Kari saw eyes the color of blood and two long sharp fangs hanging down from the stranger's mouth. His face was smeared with blood. She backed away from the stranger, breaking into a full run. She ran to her room and locked the door. Her breath was shallow; she fell to the ground she leaned against the door hoping that it would help keep him out. She was trembling and tears began to slowly fall down her cheeks. Just then, he began to fly towards her at an inhumanly speed. Kari tried to run but found she couldn't, she was frozen in fear. Kari felt two sharp fangs sink into her neck and the last thing she saw was the cold soulless eyes of the man.

She slowly rubbed her eyes, the sunlight was nearly blinding. Was it all a dream? Her hands went instinctively to her neck, her skin was smooth as it always was. She let out a sigh of relief as she realized it must have been all a dream. But something was off, the sheets were black unlike her own pink covers. Why wasn't she in her own bed? Wasn't it all just a dream? Kari was hesitant as she slowly got up and walked up to the door she silently opened it to find a long dark passageway. She slammed the door shut, where was she now? She crumpled to the floor and she began to silently cry. Just then she felt a gust of wind, she looked up to see a long black dress as dark as night, she looked up to see the face of one who could be described as a goddess, her blond curly locks flew around her, her lips a dark blood red, her eyes an amazing swirl of greens and blues. The lady looked around the room and her eyes finally fell upon Kari, she began to whimper as she realized the danger which the stranger imposed. The lady smiled showing her sharp teeth reminding her of the previous night.
