He was honestly baffled. Didn't understand the woman in the least bit. She was a rather confusing person and he hated to admit it but, that was partly what had turned him on to her in the first place. He would never tell her this of course but, it quirked him to no end.
She was amazingly strong willed. Almost to a point of where it was annoying. She was more beautiful then any woman he had ever come upon before and after their first meeting. It had taken him weeks to convince her of such and he had gotten a plenty good surprise for it afterward. Still, with everything they had gone through before had, one would think this was easy cake. Humph! He thought. What did they know? They most likely had never been his position before. Here he was, the renowned Horrible Howl, eater of young girls hearts, standing in the middle of his bedroom, knees weakening and body threatening to faint. He kept asking himself how this could have happened. He had taken all the necessary precautions. He had been safe, Damn-it!! Commonsense (which seemed to have abandoned him earlier) had now decided sarcasm was the best way to snap him out of his descending shock.

He turned his attention back on the problem at had. His Caried. Yes, this was rather unexpected but, it wasn't unwelcome and now that his stupidity had washed away, he was actually pretty happy. This was one thing he would never what to slither out of.
He smiled.
"It's alright dear." He said to the woman standing in front of him, flustered and on the verge of tears for his lack of response. "I'm very happy." She smiled and hugged him tight. Then she said something that made his heart flutter like never before…
"You're going to be a great father, Howl…"
He sighed. He could only hope so.
