A/N: This is something I wrote a while ago and posted on Wattpad, but I decided to post here since it's a fanfiction you know...wattpad is more for stories with made up characters I guess...Anyway, I hope you all like. (:

Once upon a time there was a boy, a boy who pushed everything away in despair. His eyes were dark, filled with hate and revenge. His mind was set to do whatever it took to get his way. He could not run away like he once did. Never again. He needed to become stronger.

Stronger. Powerful. So his hate could be spilled all over that bastard's face. So he could feel the pride after killing him. Feel himself be lifted off this heavy burden, and keep living until his end came.

Once upon a time there was a boy. A boy who was all alone. He detested those who looked down upon him and cursed them all off. His eyes were filled with lies, although he could not see them for himself. Darkness; Loneliness: his insides screamed for help with all his being but nobody could hear him, not even himself. A demon hid within him, but he could not feel it. A powerful, meaningful life was before him, but he could not see it; could not believe in it with real confidence.

He wanted to become hokage; he wanted to be acknowledged by everyone; but he was all alone. All alone in a village where all looked at him with those eyes; eyes that felt like daggers to his fragile heart.

Once upon a time there were two boys; two boys whom seemed to share similarities. Gazes were exchanged, but that was as far as their relationship went.

What they didn't know was that both shared immense darkness; immense emotions that were all too negative for anybody to bear. They didn't know the truth; the malignity each held within the depths of their hearts. It was barely noticeable, but it was there; waiting for the perfect moment to destroy what they've once created with their bare hands. To kill them slowly from within their very being.

They both shared a bond. Unspoken. But it remained.

And one day...that bond would break; or at least shatter until only a small piece was barely holding on; holding on as tightly as possible to fix that terrible mistake. A mistake that should be a regret. It would all go wrong, but for now this bond is unexpressed and the story would begin. Everything would begin with envy, followed by hate and regrets. Seemed like it could never be the opposite, that this bond was nothing but coal, but a kiss was shared, unwanted but there, and lives were saved, in a desperate attempt to not lose this newly made rival that one day would be a great friend. Smiles were exchanged, halfheartedly but there. Questions that had no answers, tears and anger with many struggles. Slowly they built up a tower, something so beautiful and fragile within the depths of their hearts. So fragile yet so strong, that once he parted the other was still holding on; Waiting, until the day he'd return to fix this terrible mistake. Revenge is a disgraceful word, and love is complicated at best, and this boy had both hidden deep inside him, and both killed him slowly after finding out his true purpose. But he's still struggling, and the other is still waiting, while holding on to that bond that never seemed to collapse. Revenge is near, dangerously looming through that bond, slowly, until it finally gets a chance to completely destroy it. But both boys keep struggling, until one day they'd give up; they'd die, and be freed of all their burdens. No more revenge. No more darkness to keep suppressed. Only happiness and peace. That's how they've always wished to live.
