Hellsing

No I don't own it.

Just a short little story about Alucard and Integra when she was younger.

Melt

He was wondering around the courtyard again. Without the moon's light it would have been pitch black, but it was a full moon, a blue moon no less, and he had gone out to enjoy the night. Alucard sat on the fountain edge staring up at it, like he always did.

Integra had snuck out of the house to follow him around and approached him from behind. "Sir Hellsing is there something you want from me?" he asked. Integra was a bit nervous but approached him anyway.

"Well, no- but why are you always out here? I mean always." Alucard glanced down at the young girl and sighed, as if he were babysitting a child.

"I'm moon gazing, you see up there?" He asked pointing to the moon as the clouds passed by, "That darkened spot? They're the Lunar Maria. Mare Imbrium, Latin for Sea of Rains." He pointed to a different one, "Mare Crisium and Mare Serenitutis. Sea of Tears and Sea of Serenity. Back some four hundred years an astrologer by the name of Galileo observed them with a telescope. He thought they were oceans, they are really only craters, but the names have stayed." Integra nodded and looked to the moon entranced. The clouds passed the moon over leaving them in complete darkness.

"Are there any more?" she asked, "Lunar Maria that is." She turned to find Alucard gone and frowned.

"Yes, of course, I only told you my favorites." He said resting his hand on her shoulder. She didn't bother to look behind her.

"Alucard; which one is that? The biggest one there, you didn't tell me that one." She said pointing up. Alucard walked out in front of her.

"That is Oceanus Procellarum, the Ocean of Storms." He laughed to himself, that dark rich chuckle, "Could you imagine oceans on the moon?" He asked. Integra smiled,

"Yes, I could. They would be perfect." Alucard disappeared into the night and re appeared under the shelter of the awning. "Why did you go over there now?" she asked turning to follow him. He grinned,

"I might melt." Integra was confused as gasped as a raindrop fell onto her cheek. It almost instantly began to pour. She let out an annoyed yell

"Alucard! You could have warned me!"
