At the race........
Tran's there, he seems fine to Jesse.
"He better not pull any bullshit tonite," Jesse mumbles to himself.
Him and Phoe walk over to where the bet's taking place with Hector, Dom, Evan, and Edwin.
"Only three tonite, Dom? Sure ya don't wan't anyone else in?" says Hector walking by the guys.
"Yeah, just three. Okay, 2 G each. No bullshit. Let's go," Dom gives the money to Hector.
Phoenix looks excited to be at a race again, scared at the same time. Jesse sees her getting nervous but gives her a reassuring smile and holds her hand gently.
"Phoe......?" Jesse asks pulling her aside.
"Huh...." she says trying to pull all her attention to Jesse.
"Are you okay here? I mean you must miss your home....."
"Jesse...I'm happier than I've ever been in my whole life. I never wanna leave this place....or you."
Phoe kisses him gently on his soft lips as Jesse holds her close and wispers into her ear.
"Please don't leave me....." he says with tears forming in his sweet blue eyes.
"Oh Jess...."
"I love you and I can't be without you."
Phoe wipes his tears away and smiles at him, trying to hold back her tears.
"Jess.....I'd never leave you. Don't ever think I would."
He holds her close as the roaring of the engines get louder. She smirks awkwardly once again and pulls him back toward where the race is taking place. Hector stands on the side of the cars........
".................GO!!!!!!!!!..........."
All the cars speed up like upcoming bullits as they try to get ahead of Dom. Phoenix felt a churning in her stomach start. Something was wrong, but she kept the feeling to herself. Just as her strange thoughts drifted away, a shot went off. Jesse grabs Phoe and they drop to the ground.
"Holy shit....not again....Phoe go get into the car..........NOW!" Jesse screams as Phoe gets up slowly thens runs into his car.
Jesse forgets that Mia has his keys and he scrambles to get up and runs towards Brian's car, where Mia is.
"Mia!" he yells hunching down toward her window, "I need my keys! hurry up!"
Mia hurries to get his keys out of her pocket when another shot goes off, but this time the shot was all to close for comfort. Jesse's on the ground.....blood coming out of his arm.
"Jess!" Brian runs over to him, "Come on buddy. Phoe!!!!!!!"
Phoe runs over to Jesse cradling his head in her lap.
"Oh God, Jess.....Don't leave me....Please don't leave me...." she says, tears falling from her eyes.
"Phoe, calm down. He'll be alright but I need you to drive him to the hospital before he loses too much blood," Brian says calmly.
"Okay okay. Help carry him to the car."
As Brian settles him into the car, Phoe smoothes his hair down and tries to calm him down.
"Everything's gonna be okay. I promised you i wouldn't leave you....don't leave me....."
Silence took over as she drove to the hospital not knowing what could happen if he lost too much blood.
