Winning Her Heart

I have often been told that I am quite the ladies man. With an attractive smile and sexy unruly hair. Not to mention the fact that I am rugged and chiseled from playing quidditch. I have also been told that I am so big headed that it is a wonder that I can fit through a door.

The person in question who told me this is a girl.

And of course it is not just any girl.

It is Lily Evans.

Lily Evans is in a world, mesmerizing. From her dazzling green eyes to her flaming red hair, I am in love with her.

I have always held some attraction for Lily Evans since the moment I met her. I didn't realize I actually fancied her until my 3rd year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and didn't act upon this fascination until 5th. I stopped this year when we were both appointed heads of the school. I suppose I did some growing up over the summer.

But although I don't constantly ask for her hand in marriage anymore (and trust me it is very hard to hold back from doing so) I still fancy her. A lot. I am just not obvious about it. In fact I keep it quite secret. It is a new approach I am trying.

I even got myself a girlfriend. She is dull although many other men would disagree. I find her boring. Roslyn is a nice girl with a wonderful body and a beautiful face but she doesn't have that spark and mystery that Miss Evans offers.

Through ignoring my feeling for Lily I have actually been able to have a civil conversation with her that didn't involve shouts that echoed through out the hall. And I have, if possible, fallen more in love with her.

She has that fiery temper that makes her flush and the bright green eyes that reflect her mood. She is simply perfect in everyway.

And the best part about this year, not only the fact that I am able to talk to her, it is that I share a dorm room with her. Obviously not the same room but we share a bathroom and a common room. I can barely sleep at night just because I know that a couple rooms over Lily is lying in her own bed softly sleeping.

So as I stroll down the corridor on my way to the prefect meeting where awaits the beautiful Miss Evans, I just wonder if there is any hope at all in the world that Lily and I could ever be a couple as I so desperately want.

So far the idea is very far fetched.

A/N: So I know it's a short chapter but again it is the first one and the next ones will be much much better and everything.
