TIVA one-shot!
It was Jimmy and Breena's wedding, two months late seeing as they had cancelled the first after the bombing at NCIS. Tony and McGee were sat at a table, and Gibbs was sat with Ducky at another table, whilst Ziva and Abby were at the bar. Tony and McGee were both staring at the women. McGee was drooling over Abby's knee-length almost-see through black lace dress with a black shift underneath, paired with a pair of black stilettos. Tony, however, was taking in Ziva's natural beauty, her tanned, toned curves enhanced by the skin-tight, mid-thigh gold dress. Her hair was in loose waves and her make-up minimal.
Ziva and Abby grabbed their drinks and took a seat at a table near the bar. "Tony, I'll ask Abby to dance if you ask Ziva to dance." McGee sighed as some other couples took to the dance floor. Tony couldn't remove his eyes from Ziva so he simply nodded, standing up. This is what their 7 years of friendship had built up to, but Tony didn't feel at all nervous. Ziva and Abby spotted them coming over, and noticed the slightly glazed eyes in both of their eyes. But Ziva's attention was completely on Tony. Her best friend, her partner of 7 years. She suddenly realised he looked very handsome in his grey tuxedo.
"Urm, Abby, do you want to dance?" Tony and Ziva heard McGee ask and Abby stand to join him, but their attention was on each other. "Hello Tony, you look very handsome tonight." Ziva was the first to speak, and it broke Tony out of his trance. "Why thank you, Ziva. You look stunning yourself." He smiled, feeling his heartbeat speed up. This was it. His one chance. "So, Ziva, do you want to dance?" He asked, completely sincerely.
Ziva gave him a slightly strange look, not used to this serious Tony. "I would love to." She grinned, standing up and taking Tony's outstretched hand. He lead her to the centre of the dance floor and wrapped his arms around her waist, whilst hers went around his neck. Ziva mentally screamed in joy, this is what she had wanted to do for so long. Be in his arms. They swayed gently to the music, staring into each other's eyes.
Tony leant down very slowly, taking care not to rush. As he neared her mouth, Ziva moved to meet his and they shared their first proper kiss. It was sweet and conveyed their emotions. They pulled away and smiled at each other, too absorbed in each other to notice anyone else. Ziva rested her head on Tony's chest as they danced, holding each other.
Unknown to them, Gibbs had been watching his two best field agents, and witnessed their kiss. He chuckled to himself. He had known from the first time they had met that here was no way he would ever keep them apart. Rule number 12 was dead.
