A/N Okay so I'm out of school and ready to update as often as possible. And on with the story.
Pairing: Syd/Sky
Setting: After "Boom"
'Oh, no' she thought as they walked up to Jack and Sky's bikes. She put her hand on the front of the bikes.
"They're cold, they've been here awhile." she said.
"Don't worry Syd, we'll find them." Bridge reassured her. Suddenly she was back in the Command Center. Jack and Boom crash landed in the Command Center carrying Sky's body. She gasped loudly.
"I'm sorry Syd. He blocked a blast meant for me. It killed him almost instantly. But, he said to tell you that he's sorry and he loves you." Jack said softly and she crumbled to the ground and held him. Tears flowed and she whispered softly.
"Sky, please don't leave me. Please."
They stood around her each of them grieving. Cruger nodded at Jack as they tried to pry Syd away from Sky's body. She fought them and clung to his body.
"Syd, you have to let go." Z whispered softly, gently pulling the pink ranger away.
"C'mon Syd, it'll be okay" Bridge told her, also trying to pull her away. She glared at them.
"No! No! No, it's not! Sky said he'd never leave me, he Promised! Damn it Sky! You promised."
After trying to wake the sleeping pink ranger and being unsuccessful. Z went to Bridge and Sky's room. She knocked on the door and a sleepy Bridge answered the door.
"Z? What are you doing here?"
"It's Syd, she's having a nightmare and keeps calling for Sky."
Sky sat up and was about to say something when they heard a terrified scream. Sky tore out of the room followed by Z and Bridge. He ran into Syd's room and raced over to her bed. Her eyes were still closed and she was crying.
"Sky, you promised." she whimpered. He stroked her cheek gently.
"Syd? It's Sky, I'm here" he said. Her eyes flew open.
"Sky!" she screamed jumping into his arms. "Oh, I thought I lost you. I was so scared. I never got to tell you and then you were dead." she muttered.
"It's ok, Syd. I'm right here. Now, what do you need to tell me?" he questioned holding her tightly. She smiled up at him.
"I love you Skyler Tate. I was afraid to tell you, but when I nearly lost you, I knew I had to tell you."
"Well, you know what Syd? The feeling's mutual, I love you too." he smiled, "So feel up to a date tomorrow night?"
"Of course"
" Good night Syd"
"Night Sky"
They fell asleep and lived Happily Ever After... or did they? You guys all know how hectic ranger lives can be.
